I've got a 1999 Ford F150. Yep, it's ancient with nearly 250k miles. I do some work on it from time to time but it started throwing error codes for air leaks etc. And it had some overheating issues, etc etc. Tommy's shop had been recommended to me some time ago and he was my first call. I'm glad I did! He found numerous other issues - hose problems, broken AC compressor, PVC valve, front shocks.
He fixed them all 5 days ahead of schedule. Truck is running very well now and I couldn't be happier! I plan to bring our Lexus 400h in soon to have him look into some error codes

Tommy is a very trustworthy mechanic. He keeps us informed and is just good guy overall.

I was referred to Ace Auto. I have a 1999 lexus that needed work . After meeting tommy and getting my car repaired with engine work new struths, oil leak. Spark plugs. My car has been my baby for 22 years. It looks like new but was running not so new. Tommy showed me everything it needed, and what he would do to to make it right. Well I picked my car up yesterday and I feel I have a new car again. He is very honest, extremely knowledgeable and did it all for a very fair price. I will not be taking my car to the dealer or other mechanics in the future, only Ace Auto.

Ace auto works was awesome! I went in for a smog (no appointment) and they got me in and out very quickly which I appreciated. Staff was friendly too!

Came in for a 90,000 mile service and was given a good deal as opposed to other shops that usually sell you services you don’t actually need. Tommy was very professional and sold me only services I actually needed. My only feedback for the shop would be to have weekend hours because it’s difficult for me to go during the week. I have to take time away from work to be able to take my truck to the shop unfortunately but it is still worth it and better than going to a main competitor that typically charges more.

Tommy is a straight forward guy. If he is busy you just drop off your car and within a day, he will get back to you. If he is not backed up in work he will inspect your vehicle and let you know right away what is wrong with your car.
He won't up-sell you, but he will let you know what he observes and explains what is critical (your main problem); what additional items you may consider while he is fixing your problem (optional repair that would be cheaper to do while he has access working on your main issue); and items that may need attention down the road (items you can address at the next visit

Highly recommend!! I took my car in to be looked at, I thought it was the transmission and thank goodness it wasn't! It was the motor mounts! I made an appointment for the following week and I am so happy! My car works even better than before it had issues! Lol. They are Very thorough and reasonable priced.. and yes they wear masks and practice social distancing. Officially my go to! Thankyou so much!!

When we moved to Sacramento, we started bringing our cars here because it was convenient. We are very happy with the service from oil to timing belt change. The service is quick, friendly and competent. We definitely recommend Ace Auto Works.

My Honda had warped rotors that needed replacing. I had them replaced here and they squealed a little bit. I figured that the obnoxious squealing would eventually go away. They didn't and after 6 months, Tommy rode with me when we tried to replicate it. (Of course, it wouldn't do it when I needed it to.) I eventually got it to squeal once and he immediately identified the issue and replaced them. After that, there have been no squealing brakes!

Tony is amazing and so sweet. He fixed my Honda and when I was having issues again he didn't hesitate to help me out. His main concern was that I have a safe working car for my daughter and I. I will be using Tony for years to come. Thank you!

I needed to get a smog check, called in to see their availability, drove my car to the shop and got in and out within 20 minutes! Friendly staff! I highly recommend and would return for any services I need in the future.

This place is fantastic. Tommy couldn't have been more kind or honest regarding the repair my truck needed. I had glow plugs replaced in my Chevy 2500hd (diesel work); dropped it off in the morning and by 2pm it was ready. Tommy quoted a very competitive price and more importantly delivered excellent service at THAT price. Thank you, Tommy!

My van has been making noise for over a year and it recently has been getting worse, and today I wasn't even been able to make simple turns. So I found this place that was open before I work.
Apparently they don't actually open at 7am, but the mechanic was concerned about my problem and fixed this long term issue within 5 mins!!!! I was so thrilled and when I asked how much I owed him, he told me not to worry about it. They just got themselves a loyal customer. Thank you so much!

This little smog shop on the corner of 14th Avenue and Power Inn Road, is fast, efficient, and very friendly. I needed a smog on my vehicle, and when in the area I stopped by, but without an appointment. They immediately were able to fit me in, and said it would take approximately 20 minutes.

It actually did take 20 minutes. For smogs, this shop is super fast and really nice to boot. Frank, the owner or manager, I'm not really sure, was easy to talk to and had my paperwork filled out immediately. They have a small waiting room, and it's nice and clean. They also have benches outside
