In the state of Texas, workers' compensation insurance is optional for employers, there are many employers who choose not to carry workers' compensation insurance due to the high cost or for other legal reasons. These employers are known as "non-subscribers, " since they have chosen not to subscribe to the workers' compensation system.
Third Party Work Injuries typically occur at worksites where different companies all have their employees at the same jobsite, like on a commercial or residential construction site, in the oilfield, and in warehouses where you have multiple workers from different companies. Third Party work injuries occur when the employee of one company injures the employee of a different company.
Section 451 of the Texas Labor Code is a Texas statute that protects workers from being discriminated against, by their employer, for filing a workers' compensation claim in good faith. If you were injured on the job and your employer terminated you for pursuing workers' compensation benefits or for hiring an attorney to represent you in your workers' compensation claim, you may be able to file a lawsuit under this Labor Code provision.

Dannick Hernandez with Espinoza law firm did an amazing job on my case! She took my case over after being hired on with the firm and work extremely hard on it. If I was allowed half a star that would be my rating! Unfortunately my husband used this firm, and service was definitely horrible. I know my husband did not have a major case and they definitely made us feel unimportant. My husband had to call and follow up vs. them calling us. Finally, my husband was told we would be receiving a certain amount from the settlement, and then come to find out, they made a mistake and now we will only receive half of what was told to my husband. How many other mistakes were made?

Your better off staying far away from Amanda Spencer. Total ripoff. Save money and get an ombudsmen through the state to represent you. It's free and they do a better job. I was screwed out of a lot of money because Amanda and her team messed up on my case. Yup they still took my money. Completely incompetent and should be ashamed of themselves!

I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone in regards to my case! I have spoken to a few people but I’m always being told, they would get back to me! It’s been a consistent run around and they were hired to represent me. It’s a little frustrating to be out of the loop and to not know where my case stands Or what is actually going on.
