Here at East Douglas Veterinary Clinic, we always welcome new clients and patients to our full service veterinary practice in Wichita. We know you will be very happy with our services. Our veterinarians and staff are devoted to staying on top of the latest diagnostics, treatments, and wellness programs to maintain your pet's optimal health.
When you arrive at East Douglas Veterinary Clinic, you can expect quality care for your pet. We will do our best to make sure you are brought into an examination room as soon as we have one available. Our goal is to make sure all of our patients are seen on time, but there will be times the occasional unexpected delay due to an emergency or because we are providing care for a patient that needs a little more time.
Dr. Garry Cowan and the entire veterinary staff of East Douglas Veterinary Clinic believe that it is impossible for a caring and thriving veterinary practice to be separate or excluded from the community it serves. We all live in the Wichita area and love it for all that is has to offer. Without our friends and neighbors we simply would not be what we are today.
Our clinic operates on an appointment basis to allow time for hospitalized patients and surgical procedures. We try our utmost to keep your wait to a minimum. We feel it is our obligation to you and your pet to provide the most progressive medical and surgical service available. Out of necessity, fees will be structured to support this type of service.

First visit! I am delighted!
We visited to establish a Vet for my cat.
Warm and inviting staff!
Very focused on you and your pet and I observed the same with other pet owners as they arrived and left.
Dr. Cowan was engaging and professional yet with a definite "warm fuzzy" air!
My cat Lyle is a handful at 16lbs! His claws (which Dr. Cowan trimmed)caused him to be a formidable patient! Yet, Dr. Cowan was passionate and patient and understanding.
His knowledge and handling of Lyle were much more than I anticipated, incorporating gentleness and love.
Overall I am very happy I chose the East

They got my two dogs mixed up gave one dog the shot that was supposed to go to the other dog. Made ID cards with the wrong dogs on the names, charge me for something that I can't even guarantee they did. Took blood work for surgery and never did the surgery never called back to set up the appointment for surgery. Wouldn't take a hamster there. Very unfriendly and very expensive for doing nothing. Total waste of time for me and my dear pets

Dr Cowan and his staff are nothing short of amazing. They are knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. Dr Cowan is absolutely outstanding in his field. He is constantly reading new research and passing it along in layman's terms to his clients. We are so fortunate to have this level of doctor in our area.
