In Sedgwick County, the rate of animals being euthanized exceeds the national average - almost three times as high, last year alone. If you are not intending to breed your pets, spaying or neutering them is a responsible solution.
It is also a proactive step you can take to ensure your pet's well-being and safety, since early spaying and neutering can significantly reduce your pet's chances of developing mammary tumors, uterine infections, testicular cancer or prostate disease.Cimarron Animal Hospital is proud to be a preferred provider of spay neuter services.

Dr. Skinner is always great with our pups! The most affordable and friendly place in town. When going here; it's not a struggle to get our pups to walk through the door- they're so familiar with the staff they're always excited to walk in. We have even boarded here a few times and our big dog walks right back! He doesn't even turn to look at us leave he's so excited to get back there! It's a great place that you can trust, but quality care you can afford.

We've been using Cimarron for 5 years and our pets have received excellent care in that time. My 8-year old cat suddenly got very ill and they were able to diagnose her and recommend next steps within 24 hours. They were able to care for our 15-year old 110lb. dog with many of the issues he had his last few years. They were also able to treat our guinea pig when he developed tumors. From the smallest pets to the biggest ones, they were kind, caring, responsive, and professional. I know that our pets are in great hands when they are there because the doctors and technicians are committed to delivering

I just discovered my poor little dog probably has glaucoma, when I mentioned the issues with his one pupil not dilating I was told it was probably due to head trauma, and was given a suspicious look. This isn't the only time Ive had issues with proper diagnosis. Ive heard good things about Cimmaron but I'm disappointed continuously by the little things that count. I hope they make it right in the future. It's best to ask all the questions even if the vet seems annoyed that you question their knowledge. Like anything else, there's always opportunities to learn more in any profession.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Kara James! Started with her as my vet when I had hedgehogs and needed a vet that would see exotic animals, 20ish years ago. She always very kind and compassionate! So is the rest of the staff! I have found through the years and discussing with friends and family that go other vets that Cimarron's prices are fair and lower than many in town. Dr. James is in this business for all the right reasons and never price gouges just because she can. She really knows her stuff about basically everything related to almost any pet you bring to her! I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone and
