Like many in the alternative healthcare field, I have long had an interest in how the human body works and how to help people be comfortable in it. A 2003 graduate of The Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork, I also attended the Licensed Practical Nursing Program at Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo, Iowa.
I have been working steadily as a massage therapist since 2003. Drawing from my nursing training and gaining hands-on experience and knowledge, I have continually refined my technique. I have been privileged to help many clients to manage pain, reduce stress and improve health over the last fifteen years.

I love it! I chose the egret because I admire the bird, both standing in the marshlands and in its solitary flight. Among its many symbolic meanings from different cultures are: Balance between the mind and the emotions, prosperity, longevity, self-reliance, and the ability to progress and evolve. I think these are noble qualities to strive for, personally and in business, and this bird is here to remind me!.
Touch: From the gentle warmth of the heated pad on which one lies, to the firm - yet gentle -strokes of Janet's hands - the most powerful tool she offers that can both soothe, comfort, restore and connect - human to human! Taste: At the end of the session, a restorative cup of pure, cool water and a citrus flavored Vitamin C!
After a short information-gathering chat, I will leave the room and let you GET COMFORTABLE on the WARM MASSAGE TABLE. THE SOUND OF OCEAN WAVES fills the room, the lighting is low, and the air is infused with a CALMING SCENT to begin the relaxation process. Every session begins with HOT TOWELS applied to the feet, followed by a super-moisturizing FOOT TREATMENT.

Highly recommend Janet! I always look forward to my massages with her so much, they are 100% worth the price. She's good at making you feel comfortable as well as listening to concerns, and recently had helpful insights into light PT exercises I could do on my own at home for a neck situation. Love her use of essential oils, too, and the beautiful space she rents is very relaxing. Plus she's never tried to talk to me about politics while I'm on the table (yes that happened to me at another place, lol!)

One of the best massages I've had, if not THE best! I had pain going in and left without pain. Usually when I get a massage other places, it feels good but doesn't really address the pain issue. She gave a great massage that also took care of pain I was having in my neck and shoulder and lower back.
