It is a common feeling that going to the dentist is not high on the 'things I love to do' list. However, my experience at Mesa Family was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and very supportive. All my questions and concerns were fully addressed. More importantly, procedures were carefully performed (emphasis on the 'care' part) and treatment options were simply explained. I highly recommend Mesa Family Dental.

Dr. Davoudi of the Mesa Family Dental is a very warm and professional dentist who presented all the possible alternatives when my crown was chipped. As the underlying (lower front) tooth was not very stable, she recommended a path forward where we try to save the tooth with regular cleanings rather rather than jump immediately to extracting it and then placing a bridge or an implant. Furthermore, she was able to put a filling on top of the crown so the tooth now looks normal.

Everyone here is friendly especially Angie she made sure I was feeling good after the cleaning I was getting done she didn't rush me but took her time with me I really appreciate her because some people just try to get you out the door and she was so patient with me and kept asking me if I was feeling okay after the shots they game me to num my mouth. I was a first time patient here, and had such an amazing experience! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two lovely ladies in the front office and they were so welcoming and helpful. I then had my cleaning done and Sara explained things to me that I have never had anyone explain before. She educated me on so much I didn’t know regarding my teeth and gum health and how to properly take care of them. I could tell she is truly passionate on educating her patients which is so refreshing. Dr. Davoudi then came and introduced herself as well, and this showed me the team works really well together

I've been here a couple times and have had a decent experience, up until my last visit.
I am very disappointed in this place and most likely won't go back. I got my amalgams replaced and didn't have a problem with any, except for the last few that were replaced.
The dentist who was working on me and the assistant were very unprofessional, not only did my fillings end up screwed up but also I was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE THE ENTIRE TIME!
They talked the WHOLE TIME and they were super loud! They were giggling and making jokes while working on my mouth - I have never experienced this

I have been coming here since I was young, for at least the past 15 years. I used to be afraid of the dentist, but I am no longer! Mesa Family Dental is home to such kind, caring and skilled people. I live out in El Cajon but choose still to make the drive to Clairemont Mesa because of how awesome they are.

I never write reviews but I felt it was imperative to warn others. First of all the front desk is really kind and the dental assistances are very comforting, but that's it! Dr. Davouti was extremely unprofessional and mocked me for needing extra pain relief. I have never been in pain after the dentist, but after getting crowns on after four different visits I was shaking from the pain. I even had to get a permanent crown replaced after minutes of it being put in because it cracked right there in the office. Months later and my other crown just fell out! Save yourself money and pain.

From the second I walked in the door to the second I left every single staff member was kind and knowledgeable. I had seen a dentist last year that I felt like I got ripped off by. Turns out I was right. Not to mention they didn't even address the major issue I was concerned about.
Dr Davoudi listened to all my concerns, addressed them and came up with a solution that did not financially impact me horribly.
They also did a little extra for me knowing that my dental insurance is crap!

This place is amazing. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and the staff is always friendly and pleasant. I've always been scared of the dentist but this was actually a painless experience. They really know what they're doing there. I broke my tooth and they recommended an implant. I was so wary but it was hands down the best decision I made. You can't even tell where the implant is. They're so caring and I was treated like just a patient, they treated me like an individual and I appreciated that.

This is the most horrible dental practice I have ever been. My new insurance assigned me there. I needed a cleaning so I though what can be possibly wrong, it is just dental cleaning.
They did not have a sink to spit during cleaning!! So you have to keep the fluids in your mouth until they give you a plastic container to spit.
Dental hygienist did NOT do the full cleaning. She said you need to come again in a few weeks to finish it. This is the first time I hear that one cleaning appointment is not enough to clean the teeth. No need to say they will charge you if you go again in short duration

I have had a positive experience every time I have gone to Mesa Family Dental. I am usually terrified of receiving dental treatments, and Dr. Davoudi is consistently understanding and patient with me. The office itself is very nice and the prices are reasonable.
I highly recommend this office for people who are squeamish or uncomfortable with dental visits, because the staff and the dentist try to ensure you are completely comfortable and happy during your visit. And the *very few* times I haven't been happy, the doctor has patiently worked with me to get me the dental results I am looking
