I am Michael Munson creator of Thrive Fitness and Wellness. I am the former head fitness trainer and fitness supervisor at the University of Pennsylvania's Pottruck Center in Philadelphia. I have over 20 years of experience as a personal trainer, professional chef and nutrition coach.

Services
As you bend forward, lift your right leg straight back to hip level, keep your left leg as straight as possible. Start by standing with your feet shoulders width apart in a jumping position. Stand on the ball of your feet with your back straight but bent slightly forward and with your knees bent. Hold one end of the barbell at stomach level with weights on this end and have nothing on the end that is on the floor.
Mike helped me take my fitness and strength to the next level. I firmly believe it was my work with Mike that enabled me to make cut for Team USA Dragon Boat. With Mike's help I will be representing my country at the World Dragon Boat Fesival in Sydney Australia in September. Michael is an excellent trainer.
My Fitness and Personal Training program is an integrated approach to exercise that engages the body in natural movement patterns that help burn fat, strengthen muscle and stay injury free. These varied fitness and wellness modalities start with very basic movements and progress with time. Vigorous fitness plans are developed for those who have shown readiness or who start at an advanced level.
Thrive Through Food and Nutrition is a unique, holistic program that incorporates and begins with a nutrition evaluation. This allows me to better understand trouble areas in daily food choices and helps to encourage and motivate you toward a healthier on-going dietary lifestyle. Combined with the fitness and wellness programs, this is an on-going educational food and nutrition program.

I hired Michael Munson as a personal trainer after attending his outdoor camp in Clark Park.
Michael is a professional. He comes prepared with a thorough plan every week. He pushes me just past where I think I can go by keeping me motivated and the workouts varied.
His knowledge of anatomy and nutrition are extensive. He is kind but also focused on getting the job done.

I have been attending Michael's outdoor group workouts for over 2 years and absolutely love the results I'm getting. Michael has a great style - playful, conscious of safety and form and he holds our fitness goals to push us to do our best. Michael has a huge repertoire of exercises so the classes are never repetitive or boring. I also recommend Michael for nutritional consulting as well.
