Originally hailing from Iowa, Dr. Broshar owned his own practice there for 12 years. He then spent a couple of years practicing in North Carolina. In 2014, missing the change of seasons and falling in love with the Boise area brought him to Ada Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Broshar, his wife Sherri, and their 3 dogs enjoy all of the outdoor activities that Idaho has to offer.
Our clinic is quickly growing and is now a two location practice, one on the Boise Bench and our second location in South Meridian. Our staff is a group that strives to make our clients feel like family. We laugh, cry, and celebrate with them. Privately owned, our doctors are very compassionate. We like to support each other.

I decided to grab an Uber instead of walking to the Albertsons in the snow. And a very rude man wearing a smock came to kick me out again very rudely I do have animals and I will not be taken them here and I would suggest that you don't either I see no reason to support people who are needlessly rude to people waiting in the snow for an Uber

My brother and i took his dog here today. Let me say we are extremely impressed with the kindness and patience the staff showed. Zues has a strong fear response and it has been difficult to find a good vet to take him to. Zeus is now on the mend thanks to this wonderful place.

They were very kind and very supporting and assuring when they could tell I was nervous about my cat getting his first surgery. The explained everything thoroughly and I knew that my cat was okay at all times. They called me after his surgery and told me he did really well and he was okay. I have never appreciated a Vet so much. Thank you to everyone that works there.

I won't take my animals anywhere else. The people there actually love the animals and treat each one with the greatest care. Also they are so efficient and do a wonderful job. I took my cats there who had an issue with his eye and they had him in and out in less than 20 minutes with prescription for antibiotics and pain meds. Also check my dog in to get her nails trimmed which took them less than five minutes. The total cost for both animals that day was only $140.

I will NEVER take my animals to another vet other than ada vet hospital again unless I have no choice. The people here are truly amazing and the animals are not just a paycheck they love and take care of the animals as their own. On top of being so caring this hospital is also decent priced AND unbelievably quick and efficient. Hopefully my little Onyx will recover and his eye will be healed in no time.

I cannot recommend Ada Veterinary highly enough!
In November of 2017 our elderly cat began having seizures. Originally we rushed to the emergency vet and after waiting 8 long hours with almost no communication about what was going on with my sweet girl and ran several expensive tests that they didn't even bother to go over with me before they handed her back without any answers, they just told me to come back for even more expensive testing at a later time. I was extremely unhappy with my experience and terrified about losing my cat and knew I needed to get other opinions.

I always have a great experience here. Dr. Betts and the rest of the staff obviously love animals and it shows. It's scary going to the vet, for both the pet and the owner. They are kind and gentle. My senior dog Henry had to go the other day and he was more relaxed (although still anxious of course) than I've seen him at a vet before. Ada Veterinary Hospital always puts me at ease and I never feel like I'm being gouged for money. I've recommended them to many of my friends.

My cat had some food allergy problems, I went from Vet to vet and these folks were able to identify and solve the problem and save my cat from a life of misery! I only go to these folks now, they seem to really know what they are doing and their vet seems to really care for animals. I am using just the clinic now, 5 stars for their professional and correct diagnosis and problem solving abilities!

My dog has been sick for 2 weeks with a cough and low energy and I decided to take her in before long holiday weekend. I'm from out of town and I selected this vet based on Yelp reviews. Super pleased with Dr Bets. Did a physical exam and concluded some antibiotics and cough medicine was in order. Place is very friendly and clean. Recommend them without reservation. I have struggled to find a boise vet who brings warmth, excellent service, reasonable pricing, and pragmatic advice. No more. My sweet old pup & I visited Dr Broshar yesterday for the first time. Dr Broshar delivered devastating advice with compassion and humanity. He was gentle and kind to my pup, and to me. He offered a set of alternative options and I felt no pressure or judgment to elect one over the other. His descriptions of her ailment and the paths forward were simple yet intelligent.

Super frustrated and looking for a new vet. We have taken our pug puppy to Ada Veterinary Hospital 3 times. Once when we got her and she had diarrhea and then to more times for her first 2 sets of shots. Every single time they have charged us an exam fee. Then the last time they said they should have offered us the shots package which would have included all the shots and the diarrhea visit but because it wasn't offered at first they won't honor it. So we lose $100... Whatever... We still figured we would take her for her last set of shots... Well just went in and they wanted to charge

I took my brand new Chocolate Lab, Master Chief Boba Fett Solid Snake to Ada Vet from the very beginning. I can't say the services provided weren't great, because they were. The front desk ladies and the nurses are also very nice and accommodating for me and my gangster of a puppy. I will say that if the main vet guy thinks you're raising your puppy wrong, he will let you know. I wasn't counting on the guilt trip about how I'm a bad dog owner because I tell my dog "No". I have 5 cats and a dog and Ada vet treats them like family! They even send out birthday cards for each pet (e-cards now with technology) which may seem weird to some but I really love my pets so I appreciate a super attentive and thoughtful vet office. When I took my female dog in to get fixed the staff called a few times to check on her at home and make sure she was recovering nicely. They also give me significant discounts for bringing all my animals there and keeping them up to date on health services. I feel like my animals are getting the service that I expect at my doctors office and I love
