Beyond Diagnosis Counseling provides counseling for individuals, couples and families. I will help you with the most important part of living; building meaningful and loving connections with those who matter most to you. Relationship enhancement is the foundation of well-being. When we do not have a reliable and stable support system, we often try to fill the void with addictions or self-defeating coping mechanisms.

With closer connections, life's stressors seem more manageable and the quality of your life becomes immeasurable. It is my goal to help you feel empowered personally in order to begin the path to developing healthy connections and positive coping strategies to face life's challenges. I accept insurance so your sessions may be covered under your insurance plan.
Services
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy counseling and maintain a private practice in Forest Lake, MN. I am a graduate of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, and currently serve as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.
I provide individual, adolescent, couples and family counseling. I am strength based, positive, practical and focused on helping people solve problems. No matter how difficult things may feel, I believe there is always hope, possibility and potential. Therapy can be fun. Therapy is an amazing gift to yourself.
I help you fix communication roadblocks and feel close again. Couples who split up show clear warning indicators. If you're experiencing any of these, it's important you take action to improve things between you and your partner. Left unattended, these patterns are likely to worsen. Relationship counseling at Beyond Diagnosis Counseling can be beneficial for couples whether they are married or not.
Sex therapy is a specialized treatment focusing on the resolution of sexual concerns. As in any other psychotherapy situation, talking is the mode of treatment. There are no sexual relations nor nudity in the sessions. The client talks explicitly about his/her problems, and with the help of the sex therapist, learns about the etiology of his/her concerns and explores various options to improve his/her sexual life.
Your sexual health is an important area of your life and should be discussed and talked about during the clinical experience. This can be a difficult topic to start talking about with your health care provider when you feel as though you should only be focusing on your treatments. Treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation or hormonal therapy can affect your sexual functioning.
