Far Hills Animal Clinic
Due to the number of missed and canceled appointments, there will be a fee for missed appointments, and appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hour notice. If you live in Centerville, Kettering, or the surrounding area and need a trusted veterinarian to care for your pets, please give us a call.

We specialize in forging a long-term relationship with our clients and patients, and we hope that our family can help take care of yours for many years to come. In just three weeks, Casper has made a huge improvement with his skin issues and he is no longer constantly chewing on and scratching himself.
Services
The roots of our practice go all the way back to 1970 when Dr. Douglas Coatney started a veterinary clinic in the Centerville area shortly after graduating from The Ohio State Veterinary Medical School. Following a year of practice, the clinic had grown so much that it was moved to its current location on Far Hills Avenue in Centerville.
We offer many services for cats and dogs, and will do everything we can for your pet here in our clinic, both for your convenience and to keep your pet's health care affordable. Our doctors offer wellness appointments, sick visits, and perform many kinds of surgery on site. Typically our vet appointment are scheduled for 30 minutes, though it may take more or less time depending on your pet's case.
At Far Hills Animal Clinic, we recognize that while costs are an inevitable part of the responsibility of owning a companion animal, the reality is that some pet owners find themselves in financial difficulties and are forced to make a decision between caring for their human family or caring for their pet family.
All of our vets offer surgical appointments. Before surgery, your pet will need to have an appointment with your vet so we can be sure that he is up-to-date on all required treatments, and so the doctor can assess his physical condition and surgical needs. Our doctors offer elective surgeries for spaying/neutering cats & dogs, dental cleanings and extractions, declawing cats, removing dogs' rear dewclaws, and performing canine gastropexy.
If you are visiting this webpage chances are you or someone you care about has either lost or is preparing to lose a very dear and special companion. Animal companions are true gifts to those who open their hearts and welcome them in. To feel the unconditional love and admiration that animals are so capable of giving is an honor and a privilege.

I️ called with some concern because my 8 month old cat sometimes shivers/shakes (clearly not cold). I️ was worried it could be something serious but not sure because of all of the different info on the internet. When the woman answered the phone she sounded very rushed then proceeded to interrupt me mid sentence when explaining my situation saying “Have we seen him before” so then I️ said “No but I️ wanted to ask some questions first” -I️ wasn’t sure if I️ should wait for more symptoms or if it was serious. She responds “legally we cannot answer any questions” with how

I don’t know what I would do without Far Hills Animal Clinic! I see Dr. Adam and Dr. Emily and I have complete trust in them and have had nothing but good experiences. It’s family run and very personable, not salesy like the newer “chain” vet practices.

I love my cat's vet. I went here on a whim looking for a closer vet than my old one. Emily is great. I suggest checking this place out.

My dog can be very skittish, and they did a great job to make her feel comfortable. The Vet Techs and Vet are really nice.

As a dog foster,I have a unique glimpse of Dr Emily's expertise. She has treated my fosters for amputations, heartworm, emaciation, general age issues, and a long list of other issues. She goes above and beyond for our FOSTER DOGS in rescue. She is gentle and understanding of their unique needs and treats them as her own. We are grateful for her compassion and expertise. AAPR

I used to think my dogs have the best vet since 2017. I used to trust my vet very much until a sad thing happened to one of my dogs. We boarded our dogs for vacation and when we came back and picked up my dogs, I discovered that one of my dog had wounds in his mouth and a missing front tooth. The response from the vet is basically that it is all my dog’s fault because he chewed on something he shouldn’t and broke his tooth. I feel so sorry that my dog broke something there if that is the truth. But why did no one call me when that happen? Why did no one at least once check up that if my dog

Dr. Emily takes care of my boy Alfalfa. He's a rescue dog that came to town with a ton of issues. Dr. Emily really cares and has gotten Alfie to virtually tip-top shape.
We couldn't be happier. 🙂👍

My cat has been seeing Dr. Emily here for a few years now. He has allergies and a lot of other special issues and she's always very thorough and communicates with me very well. I really appreciate how nice and accommodating all the staff has been over the years.

Dr. Emily is my dog Louie’s new veterinarian and my family couldn’t be happier. He suffered for the last 11 months (confined to a 4 by 6 pen for 8 months) had four surgeries, very close to having one leg amputated and an incredibly serious staph infection. Now that he’s been released from MedVet in Cincinnati and after so many recommendations by other canine professionals and friends, we called to see if Dr. Emily would take our dog as a patient. She gave him a physical and updated his vaccines and has agreed to be his caretaker. Louis is basically our kid and we would do anything
