Ben Grant, owner of Grant Automotive, grew up in Pine Junction and has been involved in the mountain community for the last 39 years. At the age of 15, Ben knew that his interest in automotive repair would determine his professional direction. Luckily, Kevin's Subaru was looking for an apprentice to work on their Japanese imports.
We are dedicated to providing professional customer service and automotive repair services to Morrison, CO area. Fixing your car is about trust! Great experience here today. I had replaced my pads and rotors the day before but I guess I overlooked the importance of the floating pins on the bracket. I pulled in and started to diagnose my problem and the folks at Grant Auto were awesome. They ordered my part and had it delivered to me. For free. They covered the cost of my caliper bracket. Gave it to me and I got it installed. Was back on the road in a couple of hours. Thanks so much for your advice and help today!

These guys are awesome, very honest, always on time and within quoted prices. I've taken a few of my cars here and they have always taken great care of me. They take the time to properly diagnose issues, explain the problem in terms I can understand and present options that make sense. I’ve been going to AutoNation (very out of my way) for my van work because I didn’t think many places worked on vans as large as mine. After I was quoted $1900 for what seemed like minimal work there, I brought it here. Leo really listened to me about the problem and my concerns. Though they had never worked on my van type before, it seemed, they really seemed thorough and determined the original quoted problem was not the actual problem and came back with a quote a quarter of the original quote. We read all the good reviews and decided to give Grant a try instead of the dealer, but really wish we would have gone to the dealer instead. We didn't realize that we were going to get charged a 2 hr diagnostics fee of $130 whether we had the work done or not. Normally repair shops don't charge the diagnostics if you have it repaired there. Not here. Our $580 repair that we approved was over $700 when we picked it up. Easy to make an appointment. My service advisor Kent knows my vehicle history and insures I get the service I need to keep it running strong. Grant techs are very knowledgeable in Ford diesel truck mechanics. They spotted a problem with the transmission fluid, called me recommending a fluid and filter change, and completed the work. I hope to get more life out of the truck as a result.

I've never felt so cheated in my life. My car's engine started overheating while near Conifer and my dad told me to have it towed to Grant Automotive since they used to bring their cars there when they lived in the area. My car is a 2000 model so yes, it's old. But when we were told they could make some fixes that would keep it running another 3,000 to 30,000 miles, my dad and I trusted Grant Automotive and paid them just under $600 for the repairs. After leaving my Jeep nearly 2 weeks for an oil change, master cylinder, and adjusting the carb choke, whitch is still not right? I am afraid to take it back as the might have it a long while? Also installed new fuel pump. The whole bill was just short of $900!! Labor is way too expensive there and parts are beyond way too HIGH!! Way too expensive for me!! So I recently put gas in my diesel truck...I know...it was stupid. I was right near the Ford dealership off of 6th in Lakewood. They quoted me $10,000 to fix it. I called Grant after being referred to them multiple times and they got me in the same day and worked from the least invasive and expensive approach first. They predicted we could get it fixed by just flushing the system and changing a couple filters and that the truck should be good to go. THEY WERE RIGHT. It was less than $700 and my truck has been perfect since. So grateful they did their due-diligence and that they didn't try

Kent helped us out with our Mini and Jeep. Very honest, trustworthy approach to maintenance! I suspected clutch fail for Mini, but Grant service tested and suggested I hold off. Dealer would have likely encouraged spend. Bottom line, quality care without the elevated over-$ervicing I've experienced with dealer. Great personable staff as well! I trust them.

I had great experiences with Grant since Ben opened their doors until now. My latest experience dealing with Ben and Marty was terrible.
I took my car to them to have the battery tested in December and Ben said I needed a new battery within the month for $130. I told them I'd have to do that in a week or so when I had the money and I'd just have them replace it then. Later i found a cheaper battery option for $110, but they said I didn't need one when tested. Then I never had a problem with the battery.
Two months after that I took the car into Ben Grant for an oil change and

I have been taking my vehicles to Grant for service for about 7 years and I have never been disappointed. Services ranged from routine maintenance (oil changes, brake pad replacements, alignments, tire rotations) to major repairs (timing belt, exhaust manifold, transmission). They are very good at troubleshooting problems, providing detailed quotes, meeting deadlines and conducting necessary repairs.
