Services
Greg Augustine opened Advanced Automotive in March of 1996, and we've been in the same location on Orchard Street in Golden ever since. After working for local auto repair shops and at a dealership facility, Greg found both independent automotive shops and dealers could repair cars and trucks, but they failed badly at the most important part of running a business-customer service.
Advanced Automotive offers all the auto repair and maintenance services vehicles require to perform their best. We have extensive training with all makes and models of both foreign and domestic cars and light trucks. To stay up to date on the latest automotive technology, our technicians have continuous and ongoing training with some of the highest accredited training facilities available.
Unless your vehicle requires premium gasoline, filling up your vehicle with high-octane gas is a waste of money. The premium gas doesn't boost your gas mileage or performance. If you're not sure what grade works best for your vehicle, your owner's manual will tell you. You can also ask your mechanic what grade to use.

I took my 2014 Subaru to Advanced to have it looked at before taking a long trip. Greg was very nice initially and he seemed to know what he was talking about. He suggested quite a bit of work, and I had him do it. The morning of the trip I noticed fluid dripping from the engine. I called Greg asking him to take a look at my car that morning. He got upset - kept repeating that everyone makes mistakes - and he wouldn't look at the car!? Weird interaction. If I could give less than a one star I would. I called on 01/29 and spoke to Greg who invites me out to look at my vehicle, I blatantly ask him if he would charge me to look at my vehicle. He said no. I drop my car off Sunday evening and leave the key in the drop box. He calls me Monday morning and said he doesn't remember me saying I am coming in. Then when I tell him about the last estimate I got he just assumes I am trying to get a price quote from him to take back to the other company. Then he turns around and said he needed to charge me a diagnostic fee, I asked him why he did not tell me

They were very responsive and took the time to explain what needed to be done to my car. I called several places before them and right when I explained to them what was going on they showed a lot of knowledge and clearly knew and understood what they were talking about. They worked around my schedule and were very good at listening to my concerns and answering my questions.

The guys at Advance Automotive were Super! Special shout out for the owner Greg. He went over and beyond to assist me with my repairs. Great price. Great service. The shop is quite clean. It was a bonus when picked up my car that no greasy fingerprints were found on my paint. #1 Repair shop in Golden and surrounding areas.

The team in advanced automotive was exceptional! They got us in on very short notice, did an excellent evaluation of the vehicle we were looking to purchase, and got it done in a very timely manner! Mechanic Ed to fit time to show us what he found. The owner spent 10 minutes with us further explaining. I'm happy very to have found them. I only wish I lived closer so that I could use them all the time. Highly recommended!
