Our family lived in Puebla, Mexico but our parents (Andres & Mune) would take the family to resorts in Denver on vacation. After about a week we were craving some authentic Mexican food and could not find any from Puebla, which is one of staples of Mexican cuisine. After realizing that we were not enjoying our food at any of the restaurants we visited, we realized that we craved the authentic flavors of back home.
On Father's Day in 2009 our family decided to open a restaurant and serve the authentic food from our town, Puebla. We wanted to offer Denver the delicious food that we had grown to love. This dream would not be possible without our parents, whom we would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts.

Updated for 2021 - have come here many times.
This time the beet salad made my companion nauseous. I tasted it and there was something wrong. Foul. Rotten. The lettuce was icy and stale. We deduced the mango dressing was sour/old/fermented. The salad was covered with it. The salad was unable to be eaten. I have never seen someone reject a food item so instinctual with their face and body language. It almost caused vomiting. It is rare and unfortunate.
I had the Chili Verde and it was a very small portion for the price.
Not busy. Service was slow to refill water and chips. Sala portions

I consider myself a Mexican food snob, and this is hands down the best place I have been to in Denver! The staff is always friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The food is, consistently, DELICIOUS! The guacamole is super fresh, the mole is incredible, and the desserts are bomb!! My boyfriend and I go pretty regularly, and never leave disappointed.

I love this place. The food is always excellent. It is upscale Mexican food without the upscale prices. The food is not your standard burritos and enchiladas; I had never tried a Mexican crepe before. Both the ribeye crepe and the poblano crepe are so good! And every time we have gone the service has been so good and so personable. Try this small, family-run restaurant, it's one of the best I've found.

I loved everything about this place. The inside is clean, spaced out and has an authentic feel.
The owner was working there while I dined and he was very kind and welcoming.
Chips and salsa are a must... everything tasted as if it was made from scratch. I did the Chili Verde and it was phenomenal. Flavors were there, pork was fresh and cooked right.
Definitely going back here!

I really like this place. It's not Mexican food it's food inspired from Puebla! So it's a little different but everything is delicious and so flavorful. I would say the portions are on the smaller scale but still delicious. My favorite thing here is the cheese and onion enchiladas. As simple as it sounds they smother it with a delicious green sauce and top it with Mexican cheese! I would recommend!

A new local fav has been added to our list after our time at Chili Verde. I cannot believe we drove by this place so many times not knowing that such a nice restaurant offering authentic Mexican cuisine was right there. The inside is decorated nicely and they have a side patio as well.
Enchiladas in mole sauce is my favorite Mexican dish to order and at Chili Verde it was fantastic. The smothered burrito was also yummy and the margs were made strong. We discovered that they have all-day happy hour Mondays and $2 Taco Tuesdays so we will certainly be back!

We came here for a private party. It was a fun and interesting place. Very accommodating. The food was outstanding - lots of vegetarian options. The servers were pretty on top of things - hard to tell how it would be during a regular restaurant experience because it's was a very large group.
If I lived in this area, it would definitely be in my regular rotation of restaurants! Thanks!

Yummmmyyyyy :)
Okay I usually don't like a big slab of meat haha but the carne asada thing that I can't remember the name of but it had mashed potatoes was great!
The chips and three salsas were also pretty good.
Nice server! I'm terrible at namess....
Also, a little classier than I expected based on the outside of the place so I'm glad I was dressed alright!

After multiple friends told us that this little neighborhood spot was one of their Denver favorites, we figured we should check it out. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and drinks even more so (check out the coconut margarita). We each had special menu options on their holiday menu representative of the area of Mexico the owners are from. Our server was passionate only about the food but his also his culture and added a delightful element to our evening. Definitely recommend checking it out.
