Rowboat Creative has become a staple in the garment decorating and custom merchandise industry since first opening in 2006. Our state-of-the-art screen printing facility includes a fleet of M&R automatic, semi-automatic, and manual presses with high volume production capabilities. Our innovative screen printing facility offers the opportunities to create techniques and inclusive printing designs unlike any traditional print shop.
Embroidery is the perfect way to customize apparel and brand merchandise with a classic look and a high-end feeling. Rowboat Creative's embroidery department houses numerous top-of-the-line Tajima machines. Our team of efficient operator's and in-house digitizers have the ability to create custom pieces with attention to detail for flat embroidery and 3d/puff embroidery.
Dye sublimation is an advanced imprint technology that allows apparel and merchandise to be customized with designs, branding, and colors that are heat-infused directly into fabric giving a no feel imprint on the merchandise. The printing method is perfect for active-wear, and any garments and substrates that are composed of 100% polyester or contain a poly coating.
Direct to Garment (DTG) printing gives our Chicago printing facility the ability to print directly to your garment using special water based apparel inks. No heat transfer is needed for DTG. Full color printing is now possible at a low cost and fast turnaround, using our ink jet technology. Ability to print extremely detailed images (gradients, shading, full color photographs, etc.)

Took public credit without permission for designs I printed with them. Took weeks only to inevitably cancel another order of mine, due to outside business disputes that have nothing to do with me. Also bailed out on a live event just days before, that they had committed to for on-site printing, and told me they now could not come unless I paid several thousand dollars, which had never been discussed up to that point. Good work, terrible leadership and business practices.

I was introduced to Rowboat Creative by being an observer in the Chicago fashion scene. I soon found out that all my favorite stores, designers and artists were working with Rowboat Creative to get their projects done. Over the years I have gotten to know these guys and I have always been impressed. They have grown in size, but their attention to detail has never faltered. I use them constantly for team uniforms, custom gifts, concert tee shirts, and they are always accommodating and go above and beyond. Their prices are always reasonable. They are a great bunch of people, and their success is no surprise, and it makes me happy. Don't look anywhere else, as they are the best anywhere and anytime.

It's not often you find people this passionate about their work anymore. Rowboat creative is truly second to none. Rowboat has gone above and beyond for our small business for over five years. The quality of work is exceptional 99% of the time, and during the 1% when something falls through the cracks, they do everything in their power to make it right. *That* is what truly separates companies. Worked with Rowboat recently on a super tight turnaround of a shirt order and they came through in the clutch. I'm talking...I totally should not have expected them to come through and they did.
Correspondence was prompt, and my shirts were even better than the creative I submitted to them. Can't ask for more than that!
Their reviews are mixed, but if you look closely their content resembles what a competing business may leave as feedback. I'd take those with a grain of salt cause in my experience Rowboat was every you'd ask for in a design firm.

I have done work on several Uniform sublimated dye printing on Patagonia Silkweight Shirts and Field Shorts for 2 teams, for the last several years. Rowboat, specifically Lucas, has been nothing but completely top notch, catching my mistakes and correcting them along the way. These are 2 shirts, 1 shorts with matching numbers, different logos, sizes and color (light and dark) etc, very complex, and they have been extraordinary! I love Rowboat (Lucas and crew), and will continue to give them my business and recommend them to all who I hear need some silk screening work, logo work, and printing

Absolutely love the custom towels that Rowboat printed for me earlier this month. The representative I spoke with was very helpful with the design, super attentive to my specifications, and the order was processed quickly. The towels arrived earlier than anticipated and are of excellent quality. I look forward to the next time I need something printed so I can go straight back to the guys at Rowboat.

I was recommended by another company and I should have done more homework and read Yelp. The customer service is terrible! The design was way off and now they are looking for payment even though the proof was never approved! The owner needs to work on training and his customer service responses by his employees.

We got 50 shirts printed using Rowboat Creative and when we received the shirts, all 50 had been mis-printed. Some were crooked, some were drastically off center, one only had half the color.
We thought, " Honest mistake, right?" and so we called to ask not for a refund, but for a reprint. The owner REFUSED to even consider that he had made a mistake even though I was giving him measurements over the phone.
He seemed to think this was an elaborate ploy to get him to do another printing.
