Mint Body Fitness is a private fitness studio with professional and friendly trainers to welcome you to a fresh start at life. Clear cut training, no gimmicks or extra charges. We focus on one-on-one personal training using strength training, weight management strategies, core specific workouts, muscle toning, and improving balance for the average person.
Weight Loss and Muscle Toning with cardio workouts, weight training, and over all fitness training most clients lose on average approximately 8-10 lbs per month. We can also target specific areas of the body to tone up or build muscles to give a client a healthier appearance. Post rehab does not purport to provide any aspect of medical treatment for a client's condition.
We focus on the team; Meaning YOU, the student. Not everyone has the same reasons for training in the Martial Arts. Some enjoy the exercise, others want to learn self-defense, and some may wish to pursue a competitive avenue. The philosophy of this Team is to teach functional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that you will keep with you for the rest of your life.

When I start the session with him, my body had so much fat. However, I continued his section once a week. After 6 months, my body was big changed. I got loose so much weight. He is so kind and cheers me up. I high recommend his session. Much personal training is that price is high. That is one reason people can't keep training for long. Also, too much pushing training doesn't fit someone who doesn't have motivation yet, and maybe get tired and give up. His training is nothing all of those. I would recommend mint and body fitness to my friends & anyone looking to learn jiu-jitsu. The Instructors are friendly and professional as well as the other students. Bathroom, mat & gym are always kept clean and tidy. Lots of parking available. The instructors keep the class sizes small which translates to more personal instruction.

Mike is a great trainer! He keeps you motivated while also not discouraging you. He also teaches the basics of movements to make sure you're getting the best workout for what your body can do, so you can get the best results possible. All of the workouts are tough, but doable for your level. Definitely recommend!

I have to admit in the beginning I was a little skeptical about the idea of starting strength and conditioning training in general but after meeting Mike and being invited to his house to try a session out, I was instantly hooked. I loved the warm homey feel to everything and Mike was unbelievably knowledgeable about so many different avenues of the body. Mint body Fitness really helped me elevate not only my body and my jiu jitsu game bit helped me bring a balance to my life I didn't even know I needed.

I've worked with many different trainers experienced many different personalities. By far Mike has been one of the better trainers I've worked with! He has helped me so much so far my strength has gotten so much better, I have seen improvements in my body and I've only been with him for a couple of sessions. Went to the address listed here 2885 S. King St, Honolulu HI for a consultation that we had scheduled and the owner there said that Mint Body Fitness was not there. He said the guy didn't work there anymore. It would have been nice to know of an address change before driving half an hour downtown for nothing.

I have been training with Mike 3 days a week for 2 1/2 years now. I am so thankful that he has helped me sustain exercise for more than 6 weeks (my longest record of exercise prior to Mike!). I feel so much healthier and happier. I realize exercise and weightlifting also has an affect on your brain and mental health. I came across Mint Body Fitness through a Groupon deal. I gave it a try because it's closer to where I live than some other gyms that offer personal training. After working out with Mike for two months (two sessions a week), I can say I am in much better shape physically (and mentally) now. Mike is an amazing personal trainer. I have avoided gyms (and, let's be honest, pretty much ANY form of exercising-on-purpose other than yoga) my WHOLE life (almost 40 years). I purchased a $17 Crowd Savings deal for 2, 30 minute personal training sessions, which, in my opinion is a phenomenal deal, regardless of the service! Most personal training sessions range from 45$-90$/hour! I was a bit skeptical about the services considering I had gotten such a good deal, but was pleasantly surprised when I met Mike with Mint Body Fitness. The gym is kitty corner from the humane society underneath a store called, Lighthaus Camera, there's a large sign on the right hand side of the road for Lighthaus Camera, turn right there and there's plenty of parking.
