Back in 1985, a Southwest Texas State art grad decided there should be more creativity and fun in the apparel industry. Scott Jackson started Outhouse Designs by designing his own unique brand of shirts and then selling them out of the trunk of his car. Sales for Scott grew so rapidly that he soon decided to open his own screen print shop.
Since 1985, we have been tirelessly perfecting our process and we take great pride in the simplicity and efficiency of our operation. There's a reason why we're an industry leader, and while much of it has to do with our high standards of work, our award-winning creative staff, and safe and secure shipping.
Our minimum order quantity for custom embroidery is 12 pieces - based on each individual job setup. Orders CAN NOT go into production without prior artwork approval. Please keep this in mind if there are defined due dates for you order, as rush charges may be incurred. Any job requiring production in less than our standard turn around is considered a RUSH ORDER and is subject to production schedule availability.

We have an amazing staff of award-winning artists who are all specialists in creating art for screen print and embroidery.
We can apply hang tags based on your custom needs. Standard placement on a regular inside shirt tag is recommended to avoid damaging the garment. If you're selling your product in the retail marketplace, it HAS to have a UPC code (Universal Product Code). We can generate UPC bar coding based on your custom needs.

Ordered 300 T's for my music project 7 years ago and they still hold up. We sold all of them years ago but I still have my shirt and not only is the image still there (slightly faded) but the fabric is still very soft. Also, the staff is helpful and friendly. Brandon is great, ask for him to help you. If you can get him he's worth it.

What can I say?! I was thoroughly impressed with the service!
My co-worker and I visited Outhouse Designs not knowing it was not a retail store (since we're from San Antonio). We wanted to surprise other co-workers with a few 'Keep Austin Weird' t-shirts. We walked in and we were greeted by Cecilia. She quickly explained that shirts have to be pre-ordered. Needless to say, we were not aware of this. We informed Cecilia that we wanted a few specific shirts. She immediately said, "Go ahead and place the order and we'll get it to you in a few minutes". Imagine our surprise

Ordered 54 shirts in 2 colors and various sizes. They were shirts for my racing pit crew. I also planned to sell shirts at the races to recover some of my costs.
When we washed the shirts (in cold water), the image faded badly. After one more wash the image was nearly gone. This occurred on a half dozen shirts, right before the races. I missed my opportunity to sell shirts and promote my race team and business.
I called Outhouse designs. They said this was the first time they had seen this. I took all the shirts back. They looked at them and told me I would get a refund. I asked about more shirts

Outhouse Designs has the most creative and well executed T-shirt designs I have ever seen. The originator of the famous "keep Austin weird" logo will not let you down! I recently used OD for a small batch of custom t-shirt and was very impressed with the service and quality. Even though I place a small order they treated me as well as they would any of their large clients. They were very patient with my many corrections and requests and in the end delivered exactly what I had in mind.

Outhouse Designs helped us with a project from start to finish, and were a total pleasure to work with! We brought in a vague concept for a T'shirt commemorating a performance by a group of kids from a local non-profit that I serve on the board of.
