Services
I am a graduate of the Jane Addams School of Social Work and Dominican University's School of Social Work. My experience includes work with vulnerable populations such as young men and women of color, the LGBTQQ community, those experiencing homelessness and poverty, and those who have experienced violence and trauma.
Making you feel safe and accepted is our main priority. In addition, we will be helping you learn to have tools that will help you manage difficult emotions, relationships, as well as past and current difficulties. We work with you to find the therapist in our practice who is best fit for your particular needs.
A study published in the Journal of Traumatic Stress revealed that post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is perhaps more common than you think. Just over eight percent of people in our community will experience PTSD in their lifetimes, 4.7% within the past year, and 3.8% in the past six month period.
