The AC compressor is considered the heart of the air conditioning system since it pumps compressed refrigerant throughout the system. Turning on your AC on a regular basis can help keep parts lubricated and running smoothly.
When your A/C system does not cool the cabin properly, it might be time to recharge the system. Refrigerant is the liquid that runs through your A/C system cooling down as it flows, to ultimately convert hot air into cool. And without this liquid, your air conditioner won't be able to do it's job. If you notice that it's taking too long to cool down the cabin, an inspection or A/C recharge may be necessary.

My first time using Al’s and have to say for a quick service of tire change, they were great. I also love that they send details of what they did and future services with included pictures and video. Great for me to know and understand what needs to be done. Plus they have a lovely door greeter of the canine kind which is always a bonus :)

I wish I would have found this shop when I first moved here 11 years ago. Excellent service! Extremely friendly staff!! Nice waiting room with access to coffee and soda pop. I felt like part of their family by the way I was treated. I will definitely be back with my Wife's vehicle very soon. Super friendly on phone as well. Thank you Al's Auto for making me feel right at home. I wish I could put more stars.

We have a Tiffin Wayfarer, a Class RV, with the Mercedes-Benz chassis that increasingly failed to start and had to jump start the vehicle. We took it to the dealer in NY from which we bought the RV and they could not identify the problem. We decided to take the vehicle to Al's as a last measure before storing the RV for the winter, even though Al's was not listed as a certified Mercedes-Benz service center. Al's technician identified the problem quickly - a bad battery cell. The battery was replaced and the RV starts up like a charm. What a relief. Al's people are very professional and very friendly

Fine enough job for a simple repair on my kid’s car, I was tied up the day it was complete and they left a message that next day telling me it was incurring storage fees and would be disposed of if not picked up promptly. Really? Won’t return.

Initial contact and appointment process was great. There seems to be a lack of communication between the front office and shop. Diagnosis was not as discussed on phone and repair did not resolve the problem. Mechanic then suggested another appointment for the diagnosis process initially discussed on the phone. A bit disappointing.

After being here multiple times over the years, I am convinced that they are the best of the best. Consistently great service and customer feedback. They are a great team who never fail to out perform all other garages. My 2002 is still purring like a kitten thanks to their upkeep and care. I've recommended them to all my friends and family. They are worth the trip!

My husband and I are very understanding people, but the way we were treated was unfair. You cut our inspection sticker and told us we needed a seat because our sensor was not working , we agreed to get a used seat, so you could put it in for us. so here is where it gets interesting, we kept calling and getting a run around , a few weeks later the… seat comes in , they ordered the wrong seat ( like I stated we are understanding people so we let it slide) mind you we still have a cut sticker ( this is our only vehicle). so we wait another week or so , kept calling and getting the run around

My husband and I were visiting family in Maine and we ran into some issues with our car and we had it towed to Al’s shop and we could not begin to express how grateful we are! Al who is the owner of the shop is fantastic!! He stayed in a little later after they had closed to finish working on our car since we are from Canada and were stuck outside… of our hotel with our 7 month old baby and a car that wouldn’t start. Al really knows what he is doing and is extremely knowledgeable about cars and he is honestly the best mechanic that we have ever been to, He really knows cars inside

I actually feel like the people at ACAR listen to what I have to say about what’s wrong with my car. They consistently explain things to me in terms I understand. They sometimes take pictures of things, explain the function, and why it should be fixed (and if it needs to be!) The staff are always friendly and helpful, including their wonderful pup that hangs out there. I will not bring my car anywhere else.
