Bob and Greg Hicks opened Golden Rule Automotive in 1996. Bob has been in the auto repair business for 55 years, and Greg started helping his dad build show cars at the age of 3 (yes, that's true!). Both ASE Certified Master Technicians with L1 certifications, Golden Rule Automotive is the best place to go.

I called and gave a down payment for the parts that was needed and when the parts came in (within a day) Ms Elaine called to set up the best time to bring it in.

I've been going to this shop since 2017. Yet it few months ago I placed my vehicle in their care for a full inspection and just recently they advised that it needed a tune up: the replacement of spark plugs a charge of 1100.00 when I had it service for 500.00 just.months before. None of the fluids in the car were filled. Now I have to have the spark plugs replaced.

I really wanted to give this place a good review, and my opinion may change when my car actually gets repairs. It has been over 3 months, and my car has still not been repaired. The only time I get any communication, is when I am the one to call, and all I seem to get are the same scripted excuses. If I knew the repairs were going to take this long, I might have tried to go somewhere else for service.

I needed my windshield and door trim replaced. They ordered the right pieces and switched them out. Now my truck looks like new! After a couple weeks of driving slow so my trim wouldn't fly off I can finally do the speed limit!!! Thank y'all so much

I had my car towed here because it had good reviews. They charged me $73 for the "diagnostic", only to tell me that the engine was blown and I needed to get a new one. Total fraud. There was nothing wrong with my engine. It was the AC pulley. But why diagnose a problem that's a fifth of the cost, right? Don't get ripped off, don't take your car here.

My vehicle service provider AAA recommended Golden Rule Automotive. Three days later and still no diagnostic test, Really? Extremely unacceptable going back to my first choice my mechanic in Covington GA.

My husband brought our vehicle here for a check engine light. They diagnosed the vehicle then repaired it. "So we thought". The same evening the light was back on. We could not bring the vehicle back for another week due to schedule conflicts. When we did bring it back they stated the vehicle pulled the same code they had already fixed previously & 2 other codes. They would need to re-diagnose the vehicle for an additional fee. I said, No thanks I went to pick up the vehicle. We brought the vehicle to another Mechanic & they stated our vehicle was pulling dealer codes & we

My headlights stopped working and I am new in town and so I needed to find a honest mechanic. I read the yelp reviews on this place and decided to give it a shot and WOW!!! They fixed my headlights for free!!
I had some lose wiring that was causing the issue and they tightened it back up and I was outta there in 20 min. They could've charged me for labor or diagnostic but they didn't.
I'm super impressed. They could've sold me a new bulb or charged me to replace the sockets and I wouldn't have known any better. These are my new mechanics!

I came in for an oil change, and they found a few extra problems and took me back to the shop to see exactly what needed to be fixed. They gave me a very generous price estimate for the repairs and some advice about when to come in again and get it all ship-shape. Very friendly service and also very efficient. The price wasn't bad either -- about $25 for an oil change and check-up. Definitely coming back. I'm so glad they're this close to my school!

I came here on a Saturday afternoon, at the last minute and Paul went out of his way to make sure my car was taken care of.

I chose Golden Rule based on the referral of my family and have not been disappointed. Great place to bring your car. They are trustworthy, which is a rarity.

I have been coming to this place since on and off since 2003. They have serviced every vehicle i own from Caddillac to malibu great service and hours of operation. These guys work 6days a week with no complaints. Glad to see that this week the will have a 3day weekend.

I love these guys. They charge only $25 for an oil change. I took my truck in because the engine light was going on. They spent all day doing every kind of test and couldn't find anything--so they didn't charge me. The light is still going on, but the truck is running great.

Don't waste your time you'll just get ripped off I took my new 2011 hyundai Sonata there for it's second oil change. That taught me a hard lesson ,,, They stripped the oil pan plug. I noticed a huge puddle of oil in my garage floor the next morning. They lied saying they didn't do it, but they'd put a retro fit repair kit in it. I refused to accept thier hap hazard repair,,, so I took it back to the Hyundai dealer for the proper repair Golden Rule stripped my oil plug then lied about it I don't think I'll be a customer at "Golden Rule " ever again.
