Our highest priority at MobileCare Veterinary Clinic is exceptional treatment for patients and compassionate care for their owners. Our vision is to provide an environment of focus and communication that facilitates this level of care. We have been afforded a unique position with the ability to travel directly to each of our patients' homes to provide care to them, and we do not take this opportunity lightly.
Dr. Pat Mims received his DVM degree from Texas A&M University ('81) and has been practicing in the Leon Springs area for over 30 years, both as a practice manager and as a Medical Director for a multi-doctor hospital. Dr. Mims is continuing to meet the needs of the community with quality and convenience through MobileCare Veterinary Clinic.
We are excited to share our state-of-the-art mobile vet unit, inside and out. We provide complete veterinary services (e.g. for the San Antonio area), with the same level of care and technology that you would find at a brick-and-mortar animal hospital. The team at MobileCare Veterinary Clinic is proud to be a part of the community we serve. Our practice owner and veterinarian, Dr. Pat Mims, has been providing veterinary care in the same geographic area for more than thirty years, and we now offer full service house calls to a wide ranging area including: Leon Springs, Boerne, Spring Branch, San Antonio, Helotes, Bulverde, and more.
One large part of pet diagnostics is laboratory testing. It is invaluable as a means to both diagnose and prevent illness. MobileCare Veterinary Clinic has the capability to run full lab tests within our mobile clinic. Lab testing is used consistently in veterinary medicine as preventive and diagnostic measures.

Dr. Mims was amazing! Our 9 year old dog loved him and was actually wagging his tail and running around our house like a puppy at the end of his exam that included vaccines and drawing blood. Normally my lab hates the vet and getting all 140lbs of him there is a bit of a nightmare. In this case it was easy because he was excited to go in the mobile clinic... he thought he was going for a car ride. lol Dr. Mims was the most thorough vet I've ever seen. He was very informative and simply a great person! We've found our forever vet. Thank you!

I'm so, so terribly glad we called Dr. Mims to come and give us advice about our senior Malamute/Husky mix, Tasha. Dr. Mims and Chip were kind, polite, solicitous, and hugely interested in Tasha's care and comfort. He actually made the effort to pay attention to her (and our cat) and let her take her time getting to know and trust him. His mobile van is state of the art--tidy, pristine, and professional, and we appreciated his low-stress, fear-free handling and advice during our appointment. I cannot recommend him highly enough! :-)

Dr. Mims and Chip are an outstanding team!! I can't say enough good about them!! Our pets have gotten the most loving care possible!!
The van is immaculate and has everything from an x-ray machine to an exam table so the care can be given comfortably.

I was overwhelmingly pleased with Dr. Mims and his veterinary assistant Chip. I give them my highest recommendation and plan to make them my default veterinary team from now on.
We called MobileCare Vet clinic to arrange for an at home euthanasia for our dog. Chip talked me through the entire process when I set up the appointment so that I would know what to expect as to the procedure and its price. The next day they arrived exactly on time and Dr. Mims personally assured us our pet would have the best of care in his final moments. He didn't just put us at ease, he was so genuinely loving
