Firehouse Animal Health Centers took its name from the 100-year-old neighborhood fire station in which the very first Firehouse opened. Since 2012, Austin-based Firehouse has cultivated an experience that feels like a neighborhood firehouse - safe, reliable, friendly, and passionate about the needs of its community.
Our cats and dogs can't tell us how they feel. An annual physical exam lets us know what's going well and also gives us insight into problems. Firehouse recommends Purina Veterinary Diets for the treatment of many medical conditions. Research proves that a professional cleaning makes a tremendous difference to your pet's health.
Our software system is set up to track your points. We will let you know when you reach the levels described below. Red or white? We ask because we'll have a bottle of wine ready for you, just to say "thanks" for giving us a try!. All Firehouse clients receive a credit of $5 for every $250 spent during an individual visit.
We have discounts on Wellness Visits to save you money, depending on the services you choose for your pet. We'll give you an itemized treatment plan for recommendations, and we'll answer all your questions. With Trupanion, you'll be able to provide your puppy, kitten, dog, or cat with the best medical care possible.
Rob offers Firehouse Belterra clients a common-sense approach to their pet's medical care. He focuses on involving clients' inpatient care plans, communicating clearly, achieving positive outcomes, and educating clients to maintain health and happiness for pets at home. Every experience at Firehouse has been excellent. They are caring, welcoming, organized and professional. Unfortunately my best experience was a heartbreaking one. My elderly GSP, Boone, had been declining. We'd had discussions on a couple occasions about when to know the time had come. Dr. Rob provided thoughtful recommendations and guidance to help us put together a plan and prepare my children. When the day arrived they were responsive and caring. We lost our little Peanut to a gruesome neighbor dog attack. My son and I brought our hurt baby into this clinic at closing time, devastated and lost! They took us in with open arms and supported us through the heart breaking motions of putting our dog down. The tact, professionalism and heart these amazing individuals showed us, will never be forgotten!! We picked our little guy up tonight and again, they showed heart and compassion!! I took my Bengal cat to another vet and she wanted to sedate her. I said that I would gladly come in and hold her. They said they wouldn’t want me to do that. I switched to Firehouse and my cat walked in on a leash. The vet came in and sprinkled some catnip and played with her. What a difference. Vet called and checked on her. It was worth the drive. I live 40 minutes away but having good care is important.

Best vet experience I have ever had. My Hudson tore of a toe nail and was in pain every time he moved. In between jobs and low on cash but when your baby hurts.... You give what you have to the vet. They gave me options so at the very least, what we came to accomplish would definately happen. Hudson was behind on Rabies and they were understanding and said I could have it done on my next visit. But when I went to pay the bill, it was no where near the amount I expected to pay. We went back in and got the rabies shot as well. First visit and they do everything except roll out the red carpet for

This is the best veterinary we have been to! The location is clean, welcoming, and extremely pet friendly. We chose this place to get our puppy neutered and they went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered.
They gave us a tour of the clinic which includes a transparent view of the area where they work on fur babies. We were able to go back with both of our dogs to comfort them while they got shots and blood drawn.
