I was disappointed to say the least... In the past I have enjoyed Abe's for lunch. I usually get a burger. This time we tried breakfast...... I ordered eggs and bacon and received the thinnest, I repeat the THINNEST pieces of bacon I have ever seen in my life. It was thinner than 'paper thin' It was see-through it was so thin. If I stacked the whopping three pieces together it would not equal a piece of store bought Smithfield bacon! It tasted worse than instant microwavable bacon! Me and a buddy placed two orders and were charged $20 for this garbage ?!?!?!? On top of that we ordered coffee and

My boyfriend brought me home for the holiday and had been hyping Abe's the whole time. A staple in his childhood, Abes is a place the family visits regularly so I was excited to try. Absolutely loved it! I forget exactly what the sausage was called that I was forced to order by my boyfriend, but it was a delicious patty sandwich with so much flavor. I also ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap. They use good ranch thank goodness. 😊 We then ended up ordering togo 2 more times over 2 weeks before returning home. Once was just for milkshakes because we saw the Black Cherry on menu and had to try

We have driven by Abe's for decades and until yesterday, had never found an opportunity to stop in. But here it was... a Sunday night and we didn’t feel like cooking, and wanted something casual and homey. It's definitely rustic and homey with reasonably priced meals. The young lady at the counter taling out order was very pleasant and great to deal with. My hot turkey sandwich with fries was so so good. My dinner companion ordered the chicken tenders and sweet potato fries. He said they were just about the best sweet potato fries he's eaten... especially with the honey for dipping them in. And

Simple American food done well! No frills but a nice clean atmosphere with a friendly staff. Be advised, CASH ONLY, but an ATM on site. We had burgers with meat sauce on hard rolls that were really yummy. And the turkey noodle soup and cheddar-broccoli soup were delicious!

I have been to Abe's multiple times when I lived in New York. Since moving to Florida, I have not been here in a couple years and decided to stop here for dinner this evening, for I've never had a bad meal here. Tonight was a little different, there were six or seven employees, with ONLY one cook. It took approximately 30 minutes to receive our food, which was extremely overdone. I am not writing this review to bash the place, because it was such a good place. I hope they can turn it around and get some more help. I did notice only one cook cooking, that may have been part of the waiting problem

Abes is one of my favorite restaurants I wish I could give it more than five stars! Each time that I come here and mind you I’ve been coming here for about 10 years now… Not to age myself… But I’ve tried a multitude of things on their menu and I have never been disappointed. My favorite thing to get is the chicken bacon ranch wrap or the buffalo chicken salad. This menu is very inclusive and I feel like a valuable customer because my time is considered and our food is delivered promptly I can’t wait to come back again I always look forward to dining at Abes restaurant.

Big sign on front of building says breakfast.
Place dark. No hours posted on big windows where you pull up.
My group eats breakfast between 6am and 7am.
Apparently they don't rise early and open at 8am for breakfast. Seems like they are missing a big breakfast crowd.

Cash only establishment. They do have an ATM on site, food is good and it's a family ran business that has been there for years. I remember going here as a kid. New England Clam Chowder soup is homemade and excellent, plates are great, Chicken Fingers are amazing to they are those home style Chicken Fingers. And they have good Ice Cream. Great place to bring the family.

Abe's is one of my favorite places around Rochester. A bit kitschy, but the food is always good and the prices are reasonable. My favorite things are the beef on weck and the Friday fish fry, but you can even get excellent sloppy Joes.
If they weren't cash only, I give them five stars.

I was coming through town with my family to visit my mom for a few days. She suggested Abe's. I had the shrimp platter. So damn good! The mac salad is from scratch and amazing!

My wife had the honey dipped fried chicken. She said it was some of the best she's ever had! This will be a stop whenever we visit here!

Great service and perfect food!

Nice, clean place. It looks like a log cabin on the inside with pictures of its namesake on the wall. They have the burgers, fries, onion rings, and hot turkey and roast beef sandwiches. They also have specials and "comfort food" such as meatloaf. The staff is extremely friendly!! They also have huge cookies and serve ice cream and milkshakes.

Abe's is one of those places that, driving past, you might thnk, "Huh...wonder how that is?"
You might stop, if it's meal time, or if you're hungry, but it might not draw you in otherwise...unless you have family who think it's the best place around for casual food, then you might go often.
Want a burger? The Cabin Burger is a good place to start.
Like chicken? They have a very good chicken sandwich.
Maybe you're fond of that western New York oddity, beef on weck. Abe's serves one of the best around.
Good fries, including sweet potato with maple dipping

Great food for the price you pay! You can also get ice cream for the ride home!! My wife loves the unlimited supply of pickles haha
The only thing that's a bummer is that it's cash only, so I make frequent trips to the ATM.
Nice, homey feel to the restaurant. Glad I only live a couple minutes away! :)

Abe's is a bit out of the way for me, west of The Malls by quite a bit. But they turn out the best marinated chicken sandwich around as well a a variety of burger-joint food. You order at the counter and food is actually delivered to your table when ready. Service is extremely friendly even if you are not a regular. Worth the detour!

I finally stopped here today with my fiance to give the place a try. I have lived in Brockport my whole life and have never eaten here even though I drive by almost everyday. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the man behind the counter (I assume he is an owner/ manager, if not then he should be). I had the bacon cheeseburger, and he had the bacon blue burger. The only complaint is that the burgers could have been a little thicker, not so flat. Otherwise it tasted great, fresh toppings and not too skimpy on the bacon. We also had a small order of seasoned curly fries and the small appetizer

Food is consistent, I have been going there for years. But for the first time I just tried the wings. I got their medium sauce, which had a hint of sweet in it. A very unique sauce that almost tasted like cinnamon. Wings were cooked well, with a nice crisp on them.

Food is always good. They have a great breakfast and good Cabin Fever Plates. They have a good selection of food. They even have a theme of Abraham Lincoln. Hence the name Famous Abes. (Who is ny favorite president! )
