Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take digital x-rays a complete set of x-rays for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth, as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.
Regular dental cleanings and periodic oral exams are important in the prevention of gum disease, tooth decay, and other oral disorders. I really like Maya, she's personable and realistic with what she can do. She will never try to sugar coat or oversell you on any procedures. I've been coming to her for a few years now and I trust her expertise on my teeth. You know when you find a dentist that is for you, she definitely is that for me. I'd been having teeth trouble for the past several years. I knew I needed a lot of work. I tried the Dental School route. After lots of visits, they wanted to yank all my teeth out and make me a full set of false teeth. I really didn't want to commit to the removable fake choppers, so I pulled back. These people changed my life. I have hated my smile since I was a little girl. I never smiled in pictures with my mouth open. I came to Dr. Eydelman and she was an artist. Came to Dr. Edelman by my friend's referral with bite issues made by another dentist. I clearly explained that I don't feel contacts on two of my left upper teeth because they were extensively grounded down.
She didn't check the bite and sent me to endodontist. I also asked second opinion about crown I had and she said "it's descent" and then I heard "Insurance won't paid for that". I should have left this office at that time.
Endodontist did her tests and said that I have irreversible pulpitis ignoring the fact the X-Rays were good and I was complaining

I want to climb on top of a mountain and shout about how amazing this place is, but I have a feeling no one would hear me so here I am. I freaking love this place. This is the best dental office I've ever been to, no joke. Previously I've gotten some not-so-smart recommendations for my teeth, and it typically feels like I'm at a car dealership rather than a dental office. Took a long hiatus from writing, but am back just to review Dr. Maya. She is truly an Artist and a professional. A year ago she did bonding on my 2 lateral incisors and reshaped a few top teeth to give me the Hollywood glam look. That was a wonderful experience, but a year later, after feeling out my new look, I decided I wanted to make some slight adjustments.

Can not rave about Dr. Maya enough. She is an artist in her own right. A perfectionist, she transformed my peg lateral incisors and gave me the smile I've always dreamed about. I went in for a consultation months ago and picked her brain about the entire procedure and she was more than happy to answer my questions with enthusiasm :D

OMG THIS PLACE changed my life!
I went from 0 to Hero overnight basically when I got a dual implant in my bottom lip. SSSHEEEESH!
PICS LATER but literally went from hillbilly to actor/model/rapper/singer overnight!
it was a complicated process because my previous surgeon had arthritis and lopsided the foundation, but magic was made and my girl was able to work the angle with her special toolies and made it work! 4 MONTHS LATER AND IM ABOUT TO BLOW UP on the streets.
super grateful and wish i did the review earlier but the implant is holding strong !!! much love more love

I'm writing in an update for Icon Dental, because I am constantly amazed by their outstanding customer care and the value they deliver to me.
I chipped my front tooth yesterday; it was a big chip, about 1/4 of the tooth was gone. Not only did it look bad, but I also was scheduled to be on live video in front of thousands 1 day later. I walked down to Icon Dental, hoping I could get an appointment with this short notice.

Scoured the website to make sure that there wasn't a 24/48 hour cancellation notice. There wasn't. So I called to cancel an appointment with intent to reschedule and I had a clear idea of when I could go next. (Also was really excited bc of great reviews!)

Dr. Maya is everything you could possibly want in a dentist. She's extremely professional, cut throat, and a stickler for everything being 150% perfect. We make a great match because of her traits.

I had high hopes for this office given its reviews. I even left a dental office I've known for years because they looked so appealing. However, I cannot say positive words about this place. First, the Dr. that everyone raves about was not who I was scheduled with, to my dismay. Dr. Baum was my dentist instead and I regret that I had her. Coming from someone in patient care myself, I wish she had better bedside manner and gentler hands. At times she would get me to turn my head in different directions by hooking her finger and pulling on the side of my mouth. Think a hook in a caught fish
