Dr. Munn has treated my/my family's pets since I was about seven years old. With that said, he's been there for the last moments for two of them and managed to make the heartbreaking choice a little easier. I never once felt as though it was anything other than the only solution left and it was only ever discussed when my loved one was going to suffer needlessly. He's always treated all of my animals with the utmost compassion and care.

If you want to get your pet meds through an online vendor don't go here. They won't authorize the prescription when called. West Cary will make you request the paper prescription, and then you will have to do this everytime you want it filled. Basically forcing you to buy it from them.
Response to West Cary animal Hospital: I have been taking my dog to West Cary for about three years. I have been trying to get my dogs prescription filled from vendors like Chewy, since two months ago. Each time it is denied stating that you require that I pick up the physical paper prescription. When I was there

My Aussie had a neurogenic eye disease. Dr. Munn was so patient with him and tried every treatment possible. It came time to make a decision about removing my dogs eye. Dr. Munn and his staff took such good care of my boy and it was the best decision for him. Dr. Munn reassured me that I had made the right decision befit was discovered that his eye would never heal. My boy has been so happy and pain free since the surgery. I can’t thank them enough.

Doctors are good and think through our pets problems thoroughly. The staff know us and our pets by name after 2 visits. We will keep our whole crazy 5 pets with them for any foreseeable future.

First time there but they were able to get me in quickly and with short notice, even during these times! Staff was very friendly and took care of my pups, even though my lab didn't want to "go with the plans" . Would recommend them to everyone! Will definitely be returning for my dogs needs.

West Cary Animal Hospital were great. They fit me in during a chaotic time which I really appreciated. They also saw all three of my cats during one appointment instead of dragging it out. My cats loved them. No hard push during checkout to buy more meds. Overall a great visit. Also, voicemail transcription is hysterical

The staff is friendly but not very good about explaining things. We took our puppy here and it is our first time ever having a dog. They always talk to me like I knew what they were talking about. Most of the time I misunderstood or just didn't know what they were talking about. Best advice I can give start where your client is at. The vet was good ( the male vet anyway) but I always felt lost and things just were not clearly explained.

After reading good reviews about Dr. Mann, I took my six year old dog who had stopped eating to West Cary Animal Hospital (Monday). This was 3-4 days after she was tapering her eating to nothing. Dr. Mann examined her and said he found nothing unusual and said to come back in four days (Thursday) for blood tests if she continued not to eat. His only recommendation was a bland diet. I e-mailed him that I thought my dog was dying (Wed.) and went in the following day for blood tests (Thur.). Dr. Mann did not examine my dog even after the e-mail about the dying dog.

I received an E-mail on Friday

Stay away if you have a sick pet. This was my 6 year old dog Millie a few days before she had to be euthanized for kidney failure. I took her to Dr. Munn because she stopped eating. Dr. Munn later indicated pancreatitis was a possibility yet he did no diagnostic tests, no treatment. This was Monday. He said to come back Thursday for blood tests if no better. I expressed concern via email on Wed. That she was dying. Dr. Munn didnt examine her when I brought her in. Friday he emailed the labs were bad and Millie was very sick. Untreated pancreatitis can cause kidney failure. I took her to another

My dog was a patient of Dr Shipman. He woke up during the night with a severe, nasty, painful ear infection. Since they have Saturday hours I called first thing so that he could be worked in for an antibiotic and pain med. she would not see him because she said they had no openings. We will not be returning to a vet with so little compassion for our dog.

Our cat was struggling and they were able to see me as a new patient the same day. We had to make a tough choice in the end, but I can not say enough about how supportive they were for me and compassionate for my cat. I really appreciate the way they run this place. You can tell they really love animals. The little things can make a big difference.

Dr. Munn and his staff are great each and every visit. Recently, Dr. Shipley was added as another vet and she is just as great as the rest of the staff. They all are kind, friendly, and attentive. I like how straightforward and down to earth Dr. Munn is.

About 5 years ago we switched to Dr. Munn (and briefly Dr. Bailey) when we became dissatisfied with another nearby veterinary practice. His staff has always been attentive and caring.

From the first visit he has been a kind, caring professional in the care of our golden retriever Annabelle.

Last week he had to inform me of some devastating news regarding her condition. It was a difficult and emotional conversation that Dr. Munn handled with professionalism, kindness and empathy.

I would highly and unequivocally recommend Dr. Munn and West Cary Animal Hospital for your pet's medical needs
