Marco's Restaurant in Lewiston, ME is a family owned and operated restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine. Our casual upscale restaurant prepares a variety of traditional Italian dishes from family recipes handed down to Marco himself from his family in Calabria, Italy. Some of our famous dishes include the Venetian Parmigiana, the Chicken Dolce Amara, and our delicious Tortellini Carbonara.

My favorite restaurant in the area. The food is delicious and the portions allow for a great lunch the following day. The wait staff is always A+. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere, it's a great place to bring a date, you are able to hear each other talk. I did see one review complaining about loud kids.

On a busy New Years Eve, our name was found on their reservation list, but it had inadvertently not been transferred to hold a table for us. They did, however, find a table for us after a short wait. Thank you! Service was understandably a tiny bit slow, but we were in absolutely no hurry and our server was kind and apologetic. So it wound up being a leisurely lovely New Years Eve with wonderful food and a relaxing environment. Our hats off to Marco's. You continue to be one of our absolute favorite establishments.

Our waitress was great. We got seated fast. The food looked amazing and tasted good. I order a meal for my husband to go, but he didn't get his salad with his meal. I gave 4 stars because of the forgotten salad and I thought the prices compared to other restaurants (serving the same dishes) It was a little more expensive here. But not so expensive that I wouldn't return. It's a great place to go once in awhile.

This is our 3rd time eating Marco's (dine in and take out) The first two times we loved the food but, after tonight's experience we will not be returning. I ordered our dinner online, as I did previously with no issue. When the food was picked up and brought home we noticed one appetizer (mozzarella wedges) were missing. I promptly called Marcos to ask if this could be credited since we didn't receive that item. The conversation ended with me leaving my number. When we opened the main entrees they were missing the meatballs and replaced with another sausage. It would have been nice to get a call

This is the second time I have eaten at this restaurant and I'm NOT impressed. So where do I start? Sauce was bitter... seemed to be burnt, even. My strawberry shortcake came without whipped cream! When I went to pull it apart, it was so stale! Also the ''xtra lg biscuit''- xtra small. The bread and salad were good. Seemed like all the things we ordered were almost nuked! One of the appetizers was undercooked. I will not be eating here again. Olive Garden is better. $50 wasted :(

Off to a good start. Sat down with water provided immediately. However the swift service did not last. Ordered appetizers right away - Didn't get those for almost an hour. Ordered the main whilst waiting for appetizers. Didn't get the mains for an hour. After sitting for almost 2 hours we just got 'to-go' boxes when the dishes finally came out. My wife and I lost our appetites waiting so long. Even the waitress gave a crestfallen "sorry" when she placed the plates on the table; knowing full well we'd waited an exorbitant amount of time. The restaurant wasn't overly busy

I ordered tortellini with mushrooms and broccoli. I got raw broccoli, raw onions, raw mushrooms, raw squash, what looks like raw zucchini. I ordered two pumpkin whoopie pies and received 2 regular. If you didn't have whoopie pies maybe call me and ask. Last time we had issues as well, no cheese on the pasta. Complete disappointment.

Waited 10 minutes at the hostess desk before anyone came out. She didn't even acknowledge us, spoke with a delivery person for a minute or two.Then she came over and said hey (looking disappointed we were there). She said let me see if we can even take you and disappeared for 5 minutes. She then said we are looking at a 20-25 minute wait. I understand the world is short staffed but be more pleasant, this isn't McDonald's. We had already been waiting so we just left. We understood the wait, the woman was just so unpleasant.

On our last visit, there was a big party booked, we asked to be seated outside and after some discussion between two of the staff we were shown to an inside table and they were checking on an outside table. We stood there for a while and another server asked if he could help us, he said he would check on the table and returned to say that there were no outside tables available, so we left. The host should have told us this in the first place.

I'm giving a 2 because we've eaten here many times, but tonight was the first poor experience.
We made reservations 3 days ago, but when we showed up tonight the hostess didn't have our party of 7 on the reservation list. We were put in a side room usually reserved for large parties. Not a big deal, but as I suspected we were forgotten about...many times. Water, drinks, apps all were served sporadically in a hour of us sitting down. One app was forgotten or not put in by the hostess who filled in because again, we were forgotten. That app finally showed up 3 minutes before our entrees

We used the Doordash service to order some lunch from Marcos to send as an anniversary gift to our in-laws that live in Maine. The Doordash service (driver Mary) was excellent! Menu choices were very clear using the app and the food arrived excellently executed and hot! We are so happy it was a delicious meal we could send long distance during this pandemic to our family. Thanks for the great service and even better food!
There was a little mixup with the pizza delivery but Mary the driver handled it and made sure it got to them!

I'm not one that likes to be negative about a restaurant. They say if you can't say anything good about something or someplace don't say anything at all..But I feel I owe it to people to say something about my experience here. We were a party of 8 and 7 of us had the buffet only one in our party liked it.
The food looked and tasted terrible except for the haddock chowder witch was only ok.
They were closed for awhile and thought that we would try it again. I personally will not go back again.

We have been enjoying Marco's for many many years the wait staff all know us and they seat us at our favorite table every time well it had been probably three months since we had been back not going to tell you they've up there game considerably. It look like they had been a serious deep cleaning I mean it looked like the day it was opened and I think they've updated some of their recipes I had a chicken saltimbocca that was so good I completely clean that plate and there was a lot of food there and when you figure in the salad and the hot Italian bread my God just give me enough

I'm in awe over the reviews. We decided to go to Marco's for my wife's birthday today. We have been here before, but as we pulled into the parking lot just before 6pm there were no customer cars in the lot. We thought they were closed. They were not, but there were also no customers. We sat down and the waiter took our drink order. He disappeared for at least 10 minutes. Again, the restaurant had only one other table at that time. Finally we put in the food order. After a long wait (I don't mind waiting for good food) the food came out and was between cold and lukewarm at best

Good Italian in ME seems very rare! We have been looking for some good chicken parm for several years and have probably tried a dozen places. Finally tried this place and it was awesome! Chicken was juicy, meat sauce wasn't chunky or two spicy, pasta was cooked perfectly and the meatballs were very good! Will be visiting here again!

This was my first visit to Marcos and it did not disappoint! From the moment we entered and were greeted and seated, to our server who was very polite and proficient, to the time we left, everyone was pleasant, friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was equally enjoyable. I went for lunch with my son and his girlfriend and we all enjoyed it very much. He loves buffets and was very happy that it was open even though it's advertised for M-F only. I ordered a cheese pizza and his girlfriend ordered scallops. Our meals came quickly and were delicious. No complaints!

We're remodeling and have no kitchen this Thanksgiving!! So where's a place that six of us can go for dinner?? Well my husband had gone to Marco's in the past for Thanksgiving dinner, and it was (really!) over the river... not so much through the woods, though... so there we went. At $20 per person the buffet was a bit overpriced, but had most of the traditional fixings (turkey, squash, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, etc.) as well as Italian favorites like tortellini and lasagna. This was our first visit to Marco's. My fist impression was sitting in a booth. The seat springs were worn and I sank way down and the front of the booth seat cut into my legs. I'm not a big guy so this shouldn't happen. The second impression was that the finish on the table top was worn, kind of shabby.

This was my first visit to Marco's and I was a little nervous, due to the mixture of both over-the-top reviews and those that were scathing. After circling the very large parking lot several times to find a space and then encountering crowds of people inside. I immediately discounted the most negative reviews. You don't get crowds like that, without providing the public something it likes.

I guess Lewiston Restaurants in general are not highly regarded. If you YELP in Portland area, reviews are plentiful. However, if dining a bit north of there is more convenient, a few places need to be seriously considered, and deserve your support.
