Dr. Mary Ann was AMAZING. She made me feel very comfortable as I am not naturally someone who enjoys the dentist.
Also, the cost of getting all of my wisdom teeth out was about half of other places. Very low-pressure office and didn't feel like I was being sold which was nice. This will be my new home dentist for a long time.

It's so weird to actually look forward to going to the Dentist, but that's how it is here. That's saying a LOT coming from a person terrified of needles and all sorts of seemingly medieval whirring sharp things one typically encounters at the Dentist. First of all, if you fear needles, WORRY NOT, Dr. Work is so skilled, you won't even know there's a needle poking your gums. Secondly, both Terry and Mary Ann are very thorough with your dental health. This was good for me because Mary Ann discovered a small issue during a cleaning that would have ballooned into a painful infection if not caught early

Extremely unhappy with the way they handled themselves. While at the clinic, they gave me a treatment estimate after speaking to my insurance. It sounded reasonable so I went ahead with the treatment. Much to my surprise, a few weeks later I have received my insurance bill. Which turned out to be 5 times(!) As much as their estimate. Upon contacting the office, all they had to say was "we have no way of knowing what your insurance will cover or not". Well then, don't contact my insurance and offer an estimate altogether!

Very pleased! Dr Mary Ann Work conducted a very thorough initial exam, including x-rays, high resolution photos, oral cancer screening, and cleaning. State of the art technology was used to compare x-rays and photos to clearly explain problem areas. The staff contacted my insurance, then provided a detailed cost breakdown. No mysteries. I'm very confident in the treatment plan we developed. Highly satisfied.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! I would give 0 stars if I could! Dr. Mary Ann Works told me that I had 4 cavities and needed extensive cleaning. I went to a reputable dentist to get a second opinion and he told me that I had NO CAVITIES! Be very leery of this practice! Protect your teeth and your wallet and go somewhere else!

I cannot thank Dr. Terry & Dr. Mary Ann Work enough for getting our employee, who works as an essential service provider, in for an emergency tooth extraction! As a long time client, I know they always save room on their schedules daily for emergencies and 2nd opinions. However, to be available during our current health crisis for a TRUE HEALTH crisis is really amazing! Infection can spread so quickly, so getting him into their office privately to avoid potential hospitalization was huge not only for him but for our entire business. If you want to feel tortured during a flossing this is the place to go, most painful experience every time. They're constantly trying to up-sell you, and when I called to cancel an appointment the receptionist acted mad at me and actually asked why I had to cancel, as if it was any of her business or relevant. Couldn't quit going to them fast enough!

My wife and I just moved to Scottsdale and were in need if a new dentist. Neither of us had visited a dentist for about a year, which of course is our fault, but things happen. We checked with our insurance, read a couple reviews on our insurance's website, and it seemed like a good fit. We scheduled our initial appointments at the same time.
We both had full x-rays completed, as neither of us had x-rays done in a couple years. Mine went smoothly, but my wife had to get her x-rays redone twice as they somehow lost the first set. An inconvenience, but nothing

I was a patient of Dr. Works for years and years. I am not sure what happened but I can't seem to get to the doctors because of an office staff - Mary Sue. I prepaid for Invisalign through a special with Care Credit. I had the full amount paid and was waiting to be able to start the treatment. I needed major work immediately, not only did they get me in the day a call was placed in, all the work I needed was done on the spot. The office is super clean and the staff was AMAZING. I am extremely upset with my experience at Dental Works. Writing a negative review is time consuming, but if I can help others then it's well worth the time! I went in there to have a wisdom tooth pulled and an exam on an implant. I was told I would be charged $100 for partial X-rays, $88 consult, $350 CT scan, $315 to pull the tooth. I trusted Dr. Work when he said he recommended that I have a $350 CT scan. He was so busy pushing me to get an expensive scan that he didn't even have time to pull the tooth! What a great dental team! I've had care from both Dr. Mary Ann and Dr. Terry. Both have always been very straight forward with me regarding what's needed. All appointments have been on time or very close to it. I'm usually interested in learning why somethings are being done and like to ask questions during my visits. Some providers don't like this; during my last visit Dr. Terry Works made sure all my questions were answered. He was thorough to begin with so I didn't have to ask too much. Going to the dentist has been traumatic my entire life. I am ecstatic to have found Dental Works. Their solid reputation put me at ease. I did not require any sedation and yesterday's visit was deep periodontal cleaning, two fillings, and an extraction. With my prior dentist I would have been anxious and stressed out before arriving. The heated massage mat in the dental chair was a great
distraction for a dental phobic patient.

Dr. Mary Ann has a calming effect on my dental-anxieties. And Dr. Terry keeps me laughing! There is no other place in the Valley who can provide yearly exams/cleanings as well as dental implants right in the same office--implants done the same day means in and out in an hour! The customer service level of the whole staff shows how much they care about patients--you are not just treated like the next in line.

I recently moved to AZ and was in need of a dental hygienist. With Dental Works you actually get the dentist to clean your teeth.
Up until a few years ago I had only had a family member back east clean my teeth and I have to say the experience is very enjoyable. For one of the more advanced cleaning techniques they even gave me a pair of head phones to use and it made the experience very relaxing.
Very glad I found a very good dentist right off the bat.

DON't GO HERE unless you are willing to pay for their children's college education, their Mercedes, and their vacations. Their recommended treatment was thousands more than others. They try and sell more, more and more. Save yourself time, stay away from high priced Scottsdale, and don't get taken under by the warm personality.

Unfortunately, I've spent too much time in the office of Dr.s Mary Ann and Terry Works office because of my own neglect. However, after receiving referrals, and all the work I have had, I can say they provide first-class service to their patients and their teeth. They have straightened, sealed, filled and cleaned my teeth; all the time and expense was worth it. The office is immaculate, staff professional and friendly, so overall they deserve a 5 star rating.
