My approach is holistic, meaning I look at sleep, nutrition, movement patterns and thought patterns. Together, we'll discover what's holding you back and set you free from it. Nancy is the best. Seriously. I was afraid of training and afraid of lifting weights because I thought I was too weak and physically compromised from a prior injury.

Nancy has proved me wrong. She is a badass powerlifter but she takes a very intellectual, thoughtful, informed approach to strength training. What I love about Nancy is that she is such a sensitive observer. She thinks holistically about what your body is doing. I was surprised that she was so interested in my breathing.

I got into strength training because I wanted to get rid of my cellulite. Yep. That's right. My primary concern was changing appearance. I thought maybe if I just got rid of my cellulite, I'd stop saying nasty things to myself in the mirror. I even went so far as to transform my body for bikini competitions.
My approach is holistic, meaning I look at sleep, nutrition, movement patterns and thought patterns. Together, we'll discover what's holding you back and set you free from it. Training with Nancy has not only yielded physical results. In knowing that I am strong, I feel more confident, proud, and grounded in who I am as a woman in the world.
When we work together, I'll help you get strong, but I'll also teach you how strong you already are. And we'll do this by lifting weights. Why lifting? Well, there's a myriad of health benefits, but for women, the psychological benefits can far outweigh the physical ones. You'll find yourself lifting weights and doing tasks that would've seemed impossible.

I've been working with Nancy for about 6 weeks now, and I am so grateful that I found her. We've been doing virtual trainings and I have been so pleased with the efficacy and convenience during these times. I just wish I was introduced to her sooner!

Notably, I have a complicated history with body image and exercise and old injuries, and I came to realize that I needed more support in getting fulfilling movement. Even with that realization, I wasn't even expecting to get as much out of a personal trainer as I do with Nancy. I can honestly say I cannot imagine training with anyone

I've only known Nancy for 8 months, but she unquestionably has changed my life in a short period of time. Structural and alignment issues have made it hard for me to do certain exercises, so I've steered clear of them forever. Nancy has changed that. Go train with Nancy! I am so glad I did -- she transformed both my body and my mindset. I wanted to get stronger, but knew nothing about lifting weights and thought it was boring. Nancy changed all that. She challenged me to lift weights that were WAY heavier than I ever thought I could lift, and showed me how strong I can be. I am so grateful to have Nancy's help and I'm feeling strong in my body for the first time in a very long time. I've had a long, complicated relationship with working out and have a history of disordered eating and exercise as a means to make myself smaller. I have been training with Nancy for the past two months. For years, I had been fearful about working with a personal trainer again after a few bad experiences. I have a history of eating disorders as well as multiple chronic illnesses that affect my life in various ways and at times, my physical capabilities. I was fearful that a personal trainer would make comments that would be triggering for someone with a history of eating disorders, or be impatient and lack an understanding about my limitations due to chronic illnesses, as has happened in the past. What I love about Nancy is that she is such a sensitive observer. She thinks holistically about what your body is doing. I was surprised that she was so interested in my breathing. Turns out, a lot of my superficial frustration with my body (why couldn't my waist get smaller?) had to do with everyday movement patterns, not just the strength of my abdominal muscles. After ten sessions, I have new ways of being in my body that are helping me feel better day to day. That's a lot more than I originally signed up for! I'm so excited to continue on.

Nancy is the answer to all your physical problems. I have had chronic pain and misalignments in my body for literal DECADES. I had seen everyone - chiropractors, acupuncturists, doctors, physical therapists, walking coaches, rolfers, healers, etc. Nancy was the first person who was able to actually teach me ways of breathing and moving that started to make a consistent physical difference in my pain and mobility. Nancy rules! I have years of experience both working out and training others, so it is often difficult for me to take instruction. Nancy is not only incredibly knowledgable but patient yet assertive. My experience is that she manages to get maximum effort out of me even when I don't think I'm capable. That's really the mark of a great trainer. As a result, I've put 25 pounds on my front squat and 15 pounds on my benchpress in just 4 weeks. I really can't recommend her highly enough.
