We have a well-trained and friendly staff waiting to tell you about our practice and answer your questions.
Dr. Amy James received her B.S. in Animal Science from Louisiana State University before continuing her education in the field of veterinary medicine, earning her D.V.M. degree in 2010.
While she will be able to care for and treat your pet for any illness, injury, or prescribe preventative measures, her interests include Dermatology and Clinical Pathology, and that, along with her love of animals and dedication, makes her such a valuable asset to the O'Neal Lane Pet Hospital team.Amy is a member of local, state, and national veterinary associations - BRAVMA, LVMA, and AVMA.

We seek to build a practice that provides individualized, thoughtful, and quality care to our patients through every stage of their life. Sometimes travel or other circumstances can temporarily separate us from our pets, and we're unable to watch or take care of them personally. That's when you want a reputable, dependable, compassionate boarding option.
It is typically recommended that your pet be brought in for a yearly check-up and blood work. Of course, this may depend on your pet's age, breed, and any chronic conditions or issues that may need to be assessed more frequently. Your O'Neal Lane Pet Hospital veterinarian will best be able to determine if more or less frequent testing is necessary.
Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service, and minimizing costs, we do not bill. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card. CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed exclusively for healthcare services with special financing for purchases of $200 or more.

I sent my mom here with her new dog, the sweetest American Bully you will ever meet. First of all as a veterinary office I would expect for the staff to know the difference between an American Bully and a Pitbull. As well as, if you are scared of a particular breed to say that before you perform services. My mom is a new dog owner of a breed who already has a bad reputation. He wouldn’t hurt a fly and I wish they were treated better and not like he was a threat.

Dr. Mike is the sweetest vet you'll ever meet! And Dr. Amy is very nice as well. The staff always greets you with a smile and are always very professional. This is the only vet I have ever taken my fur babies to, and I believe we took our first kitten to Dr. Mike in 2007 so that makes 14 years now. Wow, how time flies. I would recommend them to all my friends and family members if they asked for a good vet.

O'Neal Lane Pet Hospital is the best. I been taking my Dog here since She been a puppy. Now it's 6 years later and She is still coming here. At O'Neal Pet Hospital they make sure everything is OK with Kia when She go they check out everything on Her. I also told a Family Member about O'Neal Lane Pet Hospital and She took Her Dog and She Loved going here. If anyone looking for somewhere to take there Pet please bring them to O'Neal Lane Pet Hospital they are the BEST!!!

Years ago when my first dog was only a puppy we used a very expensive vet because I was new to the area and didn’t know any better. We happened to move right around the corner from O’Neal Pet Hospital so decided to give them a try and I’m so glad we did! The prices are so reasonable, the staff is amazing, and my pups are always well taken care of! Plus, with the added option of the curbside pickup/drop off, it makes it possible for me to bring all three of our dogs by myself when my husband works. I know this may be inconvenient for the staff to come out to the car, but the staff’s attitude

I take my two poodles to O’Neal Lane Pet Hospital. I love the service and everyone is kind and understanding. My pups are part of my family, so it matters how they are treated as well. Henry and Hazel (the poodles) alway seem happy after visiting with the vet. I feel like they receive excellent care and the bill is always fair. The vet explains everything in a manner which is easily understood. I’m so glad I found this vet.

I will not use another veterinarian unless it’s after hours. O’Neal Pet Hospital is amazing! I moved from out of state years ago and was recommended to them and it’s easy to see why. The kind and attentive staff make every visit wonderful. I’ve unfortunately had to put down some fur family members over the years and the kindness and compassion is unmeasurable. I’m truly grateful for O’Neal Pet Hospital because I know my fur babies are in excellent hands and always receive the highest level of care. Thank y’all so much for all you do.

I love this place! They take such great care of my Huskies! I just rescued one that was in really bad shape and the veterinarian immediately knew what was wrong with her and the necessary treatment to get her healthy again!
