If you've been trying to "eat better" for very long, you've probably attempted multiple programs. In the process, you've likely encountered this common idea: It's not a diet. It's a lifestyle. I happen to agree-but with most fad programs, that "lifestyle" feels terrible. You either obsessively count nutrients, or you restrict calories or food groups.
You either drop a ton of money on program foods, or you spend hours prepping meals. You either host all the dinner parties at your place so you can control the menu, or you never see your friends. As a registered dietitian, I've helped hundreds of people-of all shapes and sizes-develop personalized nutrition and lifestyle plans that stick.

When most people think "dietitian, " they think "Someone who's going to harp on me about all the stuff I shouldn't be eating." Sure, I have lots of thoughts-backed by science-about what foods do a better job of nourishing our bodies. But I don't assign moral value to them; there's no such thing as "bad" food.
We'll spend about an hour on a video call, talking about your concerns or symptoms, what you've tried in the past, and what you hope to get out of nutritional counseling. Within three days, I'll send you an information packet and personalized plan. We'll hop on a phone call to review all the materials and set goals for the next six weeks.

I worked with Alex through her 12 week program. Alex is phenomenal! Ultimately she helped me figure out how to eat and how to fuel my body. We crushed old thought patterns that had held me back for so long and helped me define a better relationship with my body. Unlike diet culture, working with Alex wasn't about restriction and feeling bad about my choices, instead I felt empowered and encouraged to love myself and destroy the morality I had built around "discipline." This honestly felt like Food Therapy as we broke down years of misguided patterns. My entire relationship around food has completely

Alex is amazing! I really enjoyed working with her. Alex and I worked on how to fuel my body with foods that will make me feel good. We didn't focus on weight or restrictions, but how to make small changes and be more conscious of how the food I eat impacts my entire day. Over the time we worked together, Alex became somewhat of a therapist for me. Food is emotional and Alex really helped me process some of the emotion behind some of my habits. The whole process felt very personal and not cookie cutter at all. I would highly recommend working with Alex!!

I'm so glad that I decided to work with Alex. She approaches what can be very sensitive issues (e.g., weight, stress) with kindness and great tact. Her focus is on providing realistic and sustainable strategies and habits. I think of myself as someone with a pretty good grasp of nutrition but I still learned so much from her. I came to Alex to focus primarily on my diet (which she helped me greatly with), but she also ended up providing recommendations that totally changed my sleep for the better.

I was looking for a local nutritionist to help me reevaluate my macros/ daily intake. I wanted more freedom around food. I wanted to stop counting calories and stop tracking everything I ate.
I've been trying to lose weight on and off again for the past 6 years. The past 2 years has been the longest/ committed/ successful chapter in my weight loss journey; I've lost a total of 70 lbs.
My first video chat with Alexandra was very comfortable. She listened to my story and heard what I wanted/ was looking for. She is extremely knowledgeable and her recommendations were reasonable.

I can't recommend Alex enough! I came to her for nutritional advice as I prepared for pregnancy and I appreciated her personal approach and extensively researched advice. The pre-pregnancy time was all new to me and I loved that she had great resources and input on everything from pre-natal vitamins, to certain foods to incorporate and eliminate based on my needs. I continued to use her as a resource during my pregnancy - a time when your body changes significantly and needs (and rejects) so many things that were once part of your daily routine. I always felt secure knowing I had her to go

I highly recommend Alex! I am not one who enjoys having to modify their diet or think about it at all. Alex gave me a very straightforward approach to thinking about my dietary needs that was easy to follow. Not to mention, a number of great recipes that I actually enjoy eating. I feel so much better and have a new outlook on how I approach my hearth. Plus she is very personable and fun to work with :)

Alexandra was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and differentiated herself from other people I have worked with by taking the time to get to know my specific challenges before providing a solution that fit into my life and makes me feel awesome! I have a gluten allergy and have spoken to 5 different doctors and dietitians before finally meeting Alex, she has continuously provided both guidance and recipes that have made the transition to a gluten free lifestyle so manageable. Thank you Alex! You changed the way I think about food!
