I REALLY love this restaurant. Everytime I go in I am welcomed with such great customer service. Also, they offer amazing food! I am vegetarian and sometimes it is hard to find Mexican Restaurants that accommodate that need; however, they were very helpful and open to making the adjustments. If you are looking for a place that has cuisine straight out of Mexico, this is your go to spot.

I've been using Jose for the last 8 years for all my catering events . His tortillas are handmade fresh right in front of you. Other catering businesses bring their pre-made tortillas. Once you have the fresh tortillas you don't want the pre made. Here are some photos of the last event he catered a few weeks ago.

These guys are awesome for parties of any size- they even catered my wedding!!! Every time we have any parties - we call up Tacos del Guero! It’s always a hit with guests and many calls to me after asking if I could pass on their number!

Food was very basic really but the issues was the prices kinda expensive for what you get. A burrito is around 12 dollars, you can make your own burrito at home that's wayyyy bigger than the ones you get here. Place looks wore down and needing of help and rebuilding. Also a little dirty but the workers are nice just wished everything else matched it.

Sadly one of sorriest excuses for a Mexican restaurant. Ordered a burrito and it was more tortilla than beans, rice and meat. The tortilla wrapped around the burrito 2 or 3 times, no exaggeration. Not to mention the amount of fly’s in that place. Kind of killed my appetite with that alone. Wish them the best but that’ll be the last time I stop and buy there.

I was around the area and was really craving some tacos. Ran into this place and noticed that they serve tripa tacos which are my fave , but are always a hit or miss depending how they cook it. Anyway I ordered tripa tacos and they were delicious! Hand made tortilla was nice and soft and the tripa was perfectly cooked, super crispy and tasty. Will def be coming back.

The super burrito de asada was so good! The size of it was really filling. The meat was seasoned to perfection, the frijoles and arroz were delicious, the pico de gallo and guacamole were fresh, and the green and red salsas were really tasty. The tortilla that held it all together was really good, too. I also had an horchata that was one of the best that I've had in a long time. I'm definitely coming back.

Just bought this tonight & didn't realize they messed up my order til I checked in my hotel. I ordered an grilled chicken torta with no cheese because im lactose intolerant & I can't have fried food. Instead, they gave me this greasy sandwich with different meat. & my girl ordered their Posole, & it hardly has any meat on it. It mainly has fat. The Tacos my girl & mom ordered was either missing cheese or sour cream. I can't believe I spent $50 for this unsatisfying order.

Shady place, got ripped off twice! First time I went to get a few tacos and the girl behind the counter totally didn't know what she was doing. She took my card and charged me. The she proceeded to ask someone els for help. She said she needed my card again cus The transaction didn't go through which wasn't true because it showed up on my phone immediately that the transaction went through. I proceeded to explain that to them as they tried very hard to reassure me that that transaction would get refunded and the appropriate amount would get charged. So they charged my card again

This place has been open for a while now probably about 2 years. And despite being open for so long the owners have still not finished renovating the place when you walk in it's extremely dirty ! And there's unfinished paint all over the place. The floors are sticky to the point where your shoes get stuck to the ground, the workers seem rude and awkward and most of them are just there standing doing nothing. Was downtown Gilroy looking for a place to eat, when out of the corner of my eyes I caught the tacos del Guero sign. After flipping a U-ee we pulled into a fairly sizable parking lot that has plenty of parking just for their business.
There is some nice signage on the building.
As I walked inside I noticed the left side where all the seating is was blacked out.
they are definitely a mom and pop "ask the locals" kind of place.
. I asked the lady if she had a menu and she said no however she spent the time to let me know what kind of meats and food they served.

Most important thing I learned here was how incredible a freshly made taco can taste. The taco itself was absolutely unreal, never mind the filling. We got a few extra to go since they were so good.
The quesadilla was stunning--loads of cheese and loads of meat. I tried the pastor but all the standard options are available! Of particular note, to me at least, was the salsas. The green salsa was really well made and fresh, but there was also this kind of smoky tamarind-y (I think? I can't put my finger on the flavour!) one that was out of this world.

This place is horrific we placed an order didn't think it was gonna be so much 54 and change and wasn't even worth it highly not recommended 1 we walk in and the place is dead we sat on a table and was dirty their was 2 cups of water and a dirty fork in one of the cups pieces of meat here and there I wiped the table down myself the walls were dirty the floor was worst we order 2 mulitas de asada 1 taco de lengua and 1 of tripa the tripa was hella burnt the lengua looked like it was cooked a few days ago didn't look fresh I left both tacos there my wife left hers there as well bottom line this was

Stopped by here on the way from San Jose to LA around 230 am, their hours are open until 3 which are so convenient. I'm so used to tiny San Jose tacos that are two tortillas and not a whole lot of meat but this place was the TOTAL OPPOSITE. Their tacos are huge!!!! We bought 8 tacos (six tripas and two al pastor) and getting full off eating 2 LOL!! The tripas meat was so crispy and fresh that I was so surprised, definitely the best place I've had tripas tacos in awhile. We both enjoyed both meats but the al pastor tacos were my favorite and my dads favorite was the tripas. The building

The most underrated taqueria in Gilroy. I usually get Asada and it's pretty tasty. Tonight I ordered a sope(see photo attached) and it came fully loaded! Very friendly and fast service, food is always fresh. There is a salsa bar for you to dress your food how you like, which is helpful in my opinion. Tortillas are handmade and their agua de tamarindo is hard to pass up on. The price is pretty reasonable considering it beats every other taco spot in town, both in price and quality. Tonight they had some mariachis come in and it was nice to hear some live music. This is definitely my go-to spot

Good house-made tortillas, but as others say, the meat curiously lacks in flavor. It doesn't taste of anything, no salt, cumin, anything. I can't handle spice at all but I do like flavor. The chicken also had a fair portion of gristle.
I got a taco plate which came with only meat at $12.50. They have a salsa bar, where you can add pico de gallo and various salsas. My husband got a carne asada burrito and my kid got a chicken quesadilla. They were not overly enthused and only my husband finished his food.

I had better expectations after reading some reviews. I can't say this is the best taco I've ever had. I ordered three tacos (2 pastor/1tripas), came with a frijoles tostada and that was really good.
Pastor and tripas definitely needed some seasoning. They felt pretty plain. I felt I was being rush to eat them since tortillas was getting soggy from all the grease the meat had to the point that by second taco the tortilla ripped. Red sauce was really good and spicy , but you don't need to add too many in order to give your tacos flavor. I believe tacos are meant to stay on small
