Tim was so helpful when my car started experiencing problems after a weekend trip! He got me in as soon as possible and was very honest and upfront about the price of parts and labor. On June 11th, 2021, I purchased a 2019 RAM Promaster 2500 from Tim’s Automotive Repair and Sales located in Clackamas, Oregon. I live in Sacramento, CA. Prior to flying to Portland, OR, to purchase the vehicle, I called Tim’s Automotive to ask if the vehicle was in an accident. I was told that the vehicle was not in an accident, which later I learned was false.

Tim took me through an inspection of my car and explained what needed to be done. More than that, he explained how a lot of things work and why fixing one thing now will help prevent bigger, more costly repairs later. I went to Tim as a "2nd opinion" on a recommended repair from the dealership that would have set me back a pretty penny but Tim's inspection put that way down the list of needed repairs. Very happy about that. The entire shop is well run and the staff are courteous. Great place to take your car.

After looking all over for an affordable SUV that met our needs, we found what we wanted at Tim’s. The price was more reasonable than other places and after purchasing, when we noticed small issues like two of the window switches and air conditioning not working properly, they promptly replaced the switches and fixed the air conditioning without charge. The same day we purchased the car, they took care of our DMV registration and DEQ test that was due to be performed. They took the time to explain things we couldn’t figure out about the car and how best to maintain it so we don’t have maintenance

Tim is awesome! He and his crew go above and beyond to take care of customers. If he runs into an unfamiliar problem, he doesn't go down the "let's replace things until we figure out what it is" rabbit hole that so many shops do. We had a really weird error on our Camry Hybrid. He researched and researched to find an obscure mention of the error, giving us peace of mind. With our Chevy Tahoe, he patiently covered each problem, explaining each one and answering questions.
We live in Salmon Creek. Tim is totally worth the drive across the river. Can't recommend highly enough.

I bought a used truck from Tim. It was the first truck I ever bought. He took time to explain things. The Check Engine light came on after a few days. He said he’d give 30 days warranty on the vehicle, even though it was sold as usual “as is”. He took it in, diagnosed and fixed the problem, did a few more things I requested, which I expected to pay for, but did them for free. That was going above and beyond and I didn’t expect this. I have been a customer of Tim’s for about 24 years now, and he has always treated me fairly. I have taken my car & truck to Tim & his team & always gave me a fair price. Something happened to my car & he was so busy- it was on a Friday late & he asked if I could leave it there & he would look at it as soon as he could- I told him I didn't have a ride& he offered me a car to use for the weekend. I highly recommend Tim and his staff. My daughter's car was having problems. They not only took the time to explain everything that was wrong with the engine in layman terms, they let her have a loaner car while they repaired it. I am really impressed with their knowledge and genuinely great customer care. Thank you soooo much !!!
