The best place I have lived so far. It's quiet, well maintained, there's a pool and security patrol...People mostly keep to themselves. The staff is friendly and helpful.
There is no guest parking but street parking is always available.
I haven't had a single issue with the place. The only downside is no pets except for ESA.

I lived at these apartments for a year and I loved them! Currently at some other apartments regrettably so, and will move back to these as soon as the chance comes. Management is awesome! Especially Maureena...she is very caring and she keeps it real. The place is always clean, and lovely, and quiet.

Village Apartments is one of the best apartment complexes in San Diego! I have loved living here for 4.5 years and recently moved due to a change in jobs. My experience living here has been great -- with such great, friendly management (who are always on top of things), respectful & quiet neighbors and a great surrounding community. Maureena is a great apartment manager & always responds quickly and stays on top of things. Dale is a very responsive maintenance guy who is always smiling & quick to give you a wave. Such a great complex. Well maintained and landscaped property along with a fantastic staff. Maureena and team are amazing. I lived here for almost 3 years and they handled everything efficiently and professionally. Peaceful grounds and a great pool and hot tub. If I hadn't moved out of the area I would not have left. Best place to live in La Mesa.

I must say...when I see MANY 5-star reviews on anything...I feel pretty skeptical about it. However, I must say everything people said here is TOTALLY TRUE. Except for the 1-star review. Maybe that person was just at the wrong place, wrong day, wrong time, wasn't fond of the rules or who knows! Of course, there are rules here but there needs to be rules to keep a place in order. Rules are not rigid, they're normal and it's what keeps this place at peace for everyone (ex. not speeding as you enter the complex, turn your music down in consideration of your neighbors, etc). I recently moved here about 11 months ago after I left Vermont. I personally love living in this complex, it's very clean, quiet and in one of the best places to live in La Mesa. This is one of the most convenient places to live given Grossmont transit Center is less than a mile away and that will get you anywhere you need to go. The upkeep of this place is fantastic, landscapers come every week to keep everything in immaculate order. The only thing I can think of that needs improvement is this place needs to get a new coat of paint other than that there's nothing wrong. The property

My husband and I have lived at the village apartments for almost two years now. We started off in a one bedroom and when we decided we needed a little more space the manager was very helpful with moving us into a 2 bedroom. The complex is always well maintained, the neighbors are friendly and the overall atmosphere feels like a home. The pool is always inviting, and the laundry rooms are very convenient. Maureena is wonderful, the complex is beautifully maintained and the units are great! My mother-in-law lived alone in the Village Apartments and Maureena was extremely attentive to her needs. She always took the time to listen to her and worked very hard to ensure that she was comfortable and happy. Maureena is the type of contentious person who truly cares about her tenants. I lived here for 2 years, and absolutely loved it! It's a quiet community, with an incredible staff. Maureena is a wonderful, and attentive property manager. Maintenance requests are swiftly taken care of. The grounds are beautifully maintained. My family and I are grateful to have celebrated many occasions at the pool, and BBQ. It is conveniently located near schools, parks, grocery stores, freeway access, and La Mesa Village. I am sad to move, and cannot recommend this community enough.

Great place to live! Close to schools, shopping in Grossmont center and La Mesa village, with quick freeway access to the 8, Lake Murray is also just up the road. The property manager does a fantastic job, she is always quick to resolve any issues, whether it be billing, maintenance, or postal pickup. Maintenance is always quickly resolved, and the landscaping guys do an incredible job, the place is always immaculate! The pool is nice, and there are charcoal and gas grills conveniently located around the complex. Very quiet community with nice neighbors, they don't put up with any riff raff

I lived here for a few months back in 2012. I had a great, roomy studio apartment which was more like a 1 bedroom. it had a full kitchen, walk in closet and a nice balcony. The grounds were always beautifully kept up, nice pool and spa and bbqs.
the laundry room was always clean and the washers and dryers were always available. Maureena was a GREAT property manager, very attentive and easy to talk to. Only ever had to do one tiny maintenance request and it was taken care of quickly. I needed to move to a place with a one bedroom (all one bedrooms there were filled), and man did I regret it!!

My husband, son and I have lived here for 2 years and I am continually amazed at how great of a place it is. The neighborhood is great; the apartments are in a residential area, so we are surrounded by houses. There is a large park at the bottom of the hill that we frequently take our son to and it is always well kept. The actual property that the apartments are on is beautiful. My girlfriend and I lived in Village Apartments for a year and never had a bad experience with other residents or managers. Maureena was outstanding and ran a tight ship. When maintenance was requested, it was taken care of in a timely manner. We had the fortune of purchasing a home otherwise we would have stayed. Great complex! Safe and clean!

This Apartment complex is stunning. The grounds and landscaping are so well kept, it feels like a real home. The neighborhood is quiet and respectful, and all of the tenants are courteous and friendly. The very few maintenance requests that I had were handled immediately and with no questions asked. Maureena and Anita are STARS and such incredibly friendly and helpful ladies. They have always been prompt to assist and go out of their way to say hello and make sure that everything is going well. A year on, and I am still so grateful that I found this wonderful little piece of paradise in the hills of La Mesa. As far as apartments go, this is as close to home as I've ever felt. If you are borderline obsessive about cleanliness like I am, this is definitely the place for you. The staff do a remarkable job of keeping the community beautiful. It's astonishing. It's such a peaceful community, sometimes I wonder if anyone is even there, but they are! Neighbors are respectful, friendly, and I instantly got along with all of them. This is a great apartment complex to live at. Quiet neighborhood and easy access to the freeway and shopping. I agree with everything William said. Outstanding customer service from both managers Maureena and Anita! They really do care about their tenants and all maintenance requests are usually done within 24hrs. I would definitely recommend the place!
