I lived at Tall Oaks for 3 years. It was my first apartment in kzoo. I love living here. The staff is friendly and maintenance is done very quickly. The buildings and grounds are kept looking beautiful. The pool is great in the summer. Kept clean and not over crowded. The tenants are all very friendly. The bedrooms are a great size , closets and bathrooms as well. Love having full sz washer/dryer. Pet friendly with a nice park near by for walks. This place is tucked back so you see lots of deer , birds and squirrels. Its almost like your not in the city. The rent is high but the area is beautiful

For the price, this is the best complex in the entire city. The units are massive. The area is gorgeous; you will see deer and other wildlife peeping out of the forest regularly, and the ambient sound of nature is the only thing that breaks the wonderful PEACE AND QUIET of the location. You may find that you hear your neighbors more frequently because of the quiet location; my suggestion is to invest in soft furnishings to help dampen the noise, because this place is completely worth it. Maintenance is quick and friendly, office staff are extremely attentive and responsive. If rent wasn't raised

Where to begin.. Tall Oaks is a great community to live in. The apartments are tucked back creating a quiet and peaceful environment. The maintenance department keeps the grounds clean during all seasons, they're quick and efficient when coming to replace or repair anything in your apartment, then call to follow up to make sure the issue was properly resolved. The leasing office is wonderful as well, Steve and Peggy are as good as it gets. They make you feel welcomed from the day you visit until the day you move, reassuring you that this is "home." I’ve lived in over 4 different apartment complexes in Kalamazoo, and Tall Oaks is by far my favorite. The staff are so nice! They learn your name quickly and frequently smile and wave whenever seen in the complex. Any issues we’ve ever had (general maintenance issues), the maintenance worker has come within 24 hours (although it’s usually within the hour) - and he’s also super friendly and helpful. If I loved everything about living here. The complex is gorgeous, a hidden gem. I genuinely don’t have a bad thing to say after two years.

I adore living at Tall Oaks Apartments! Everyone in the office: Rebecca, Steve, and Peggy are absolute delights and always so very helpful. Bill with maintenance is very nice and helpful with a super fast response time. Nick is very helpful with work order requests as well. The grounds are beautiful. The location of the property is idyllic. They are pet friendly which is perfect for our furbaby. The apartment floor plans are spacious and well worth the price based on all of the amenities within the home that you have, especially washer and dryer in the home. Both Steve and Peggy were very helpful in all the work needed in order to move in. I was out of state and did not have the luxury of viewing my apartment before signing but they turned out great! I think it's perfect sizing for me just because I didn't really need that much space since I am only here for

Worst apartments ever. There’s no sound barrier. The stairs in the hallways make the noise 10X’s louder. People have no hallway etiquette. They stomp up and down the stairs all night long, making it impossible to get a good nights sleep. They let kids run up and down the stairs. They stomp on the landing. Move furniture up and down the cement stairs, scraping each noisily as they go. The neighbors above and below can be heard. They blast surround sound all night and day. Nothing is done and nobody cares. The rent is too expensive for how old and outdated these apartments really are. Not worth
