Found a feral kitten in a tree Friday night and took it home with me. Saturday morning I’m calling around to try to get in to make sure he’s okay and that he doesn’t have any disease (as he’s staying in my house). BFAH got me in within a couple hours! They treated him so well and the vet was so helpful

I've been to a few vets in the west mesa /tempe area and this place has impressed me the most. especially dealing with a very very sick and likely terminal cat who's pretty young still.

I really wanted to like Best Friends. We had a good experience during the exam although it seemed a bit pricey. It's clear now that they have no interest in actually helping our pets or their clients. For some reason they had trouble getting through to me via phone and didn't bother to attempt to use another phone or send me an email. Because of this, I was not aware of something I needed to know prior to my pet's appointment. They said they would take him anyway but it would be an additional $56 fee! The location at Baseline and Extension is excellent.
I take my dogs and cat here and have seen both Dr. Olsen and Dr. Brady.
Earlier during COVID they did have you wait in your car, call to check in, they would come get your pet and the doc would call you on the phone while (or after) looking at your pet.
But- I was there this past week (June 2021) and they are allowing one person in the office with their pet, you just must call to give them a heads up when you are there to check in and they will come get you.
An office visit fee is $50. I always appreciate how quickly they are able to get us

They make you call when you get there, and you have to sit in your car. Okay, I get it-- COVID stuff. But the problem is, I arrived and called, and they put me on hold. So while I sat on hold, I watched vet techs come in and out and grab other dogs. Meanwhile, I sat on hold. I finally hung up and called them back. Did they rush to get me in? Nope. They told me it would be another 5 minutes. Meaning, they wanted me to wait until 11:15 for my 11:00 appointment, because they can't get it together.

I brought my pitty, Lolo, here for a sprained toe nail. Everyone was honest, inviting and efficient. I couldn't have asked for better care. I called a week after her appointment with a few concerns, they gave me honest opinions of how to proceed without making me rush in to spend more money like other vets have done in the past. She has heeled perfectly, as advised. We will absolutely be making Best Friends Animal Hospital our home vet!

Dr. Olson and the staff at Best Friends Animal Hospital are THE BEST. I have 3 chihuahuas with one of them being new to the pack from the pound. Everyone is so compassionate and I love how Dr. Olson and the techs talk to us like real people. They take the time to really explain what's going on and give us the best treatment as possible. I would completely recommend this veterinary clinic to ANYONE!

Reliable, friendly, and affordable is the best words I can find for this place. I've taken my cat Maxwell there twice. Once for his eye and secondly for his yearly shots. They were gentle with him and took very good care of him.
They know know cats don't enjoy being in new places so they made sure they were quick to check him out.
I highly recommended this animal hospital!

I just made a Yelp account so that I could review BFAH. They got my dog in right away and were kind and helpful from the first phone call. Everyone in the office was so warm and made my nervous dog feel comfortable. We saw Dr. Olson and she really spent time with us to talk over the situation. She didn't seem rushed and truly focused on my dog. I'll definitely be going back for future vet visits and recommend them very highly.

Really pleased after bringing my dog Tess here. The hospital was lovely inside, very clean and welcoming. The staff were really friendly and caring during our visit. They could not be more helpful! Offered excellent advice for Tess and she is feeling better already! Highly recommend to bring your pet here!

VERY impressed with the entire experience here!! I had to take Reese's (my miniature pincher) in after coming home to her neck being extremely swollen. I called and spoke with Mona who was VERY friendly and made sure that we could get in ASAP. I have never been one to rush Reese to the vet over tiny things but this was a huge bulge on the back of her neck that had appeared out of no where.
