Lou was born and raised in Salem, VA, located in southwest Virginia. Lou tried his hand in a number of majors before he realized that he excelled in the sciences. He went to technician school while Dawn was in vet school and they both graduated in 2007. Lou's passion is music (he plays guitar and bass), but because it doesn't necessarily pay the bills, Lou began his career with Queen Creek Veterinary Clinic.

This is a very homie veterinarian's office the staff in the office is very friendly I love this veterinarian Dr Dawn senter is awesome very personable and very very fair probably one of the most fairest reasonable vets I've ever been to thank you so much for your help today we're not from Arizona so I would have to say I would definitely come back here!

I took my pit Babee here and was treated with the best care They treat you and your furry friend like family....Very respectful knowledgeable and understanding .When came time to say goodbye to Babee it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do..The entire staff could not have been any better . I'm so grateful to them. You can trust them, they are not going to charge you for something that isn't necessary. They will go over ALL your options.and respect whatever

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Senter and Lou. If you are looking for someone that will love on your pet, give you real information and options without pushing unnecessary stuff and great prices, then you have found it. Since I moved, I now have a 45 minute drive to their office and it is still well worth it! Thank you both for the exceptional treatment of Peaches. The waiting room is nice and spacious so no animals feel too cramped or close to another animal which can be a formula for distress.
The receptionist are the definition of sweet and hospitable. They are also the vet techs which means they are super efficient too. I love the vet techs, always so kind and understanding and very good with all 3 of my babies.
As for the vet she is the best, absolutely the best of the best could not reccomend her more!

I have been to this office 3 times in the last month and I can't say enough wonderful things. I have a reactive dog who is very vocal and all of the staff treated her with respect, kindness, compassion and patience. I am so happy to have found them. It brings tears to my eyes seeing how well she has been treated and how much they all care for my best friend. Wonderful veterinarian and staff.

I have Never been “okay” with vets. My experience has left me questioning their recommendations and diagnosis’ more often than not. I have Even spent a lot of money on treating a diagnosis that never existed. My experience with Dr Senter and her staff has been the complete opposite. She has been the most honest and helpful through some of the toughest decisions that i have Ever had to make while still respecting my choices. She will go out of her way for your pet out of pure kindness in her heart.

This place was very good for an animal's first time vet visit. It was only when the vet had to take a rectal temperature reading that things got a bit wild. Our cat's eyes went HUGE and boy did he twist and squirm, yet the vet tech held firm and it was all quickly over.
Located right along the canal in Mesa, this office doesn't mind walk ins of animals in distress should you be walking in the area. Inside they had a cat themed clock and the waiting room had a beautiful fish tank and postors of many different kinds of cat breeds. It was an enterrtaining office.

We live around the corner from the clinic and one day we had to bring in our cat that suffered some type of break out, the experience was awesome and needless to say we have been bringing in the rest of our pets to this vet. We had our toy poodle get a dental cleaning and it's always nerve wrecking since they have to be put under anesthesia. We knew she had really bad teeth but did not know how bad it was since she is a rescue. They had to pull out 23 teeth but they made me feel so reassured that this would benefit her. After a week of her procedure she is like a new puppy!! She feels amazing

I just recently got a puppy and brought her to Central Mesa vet hospital. I am so happy I found This clinic! Dr. Senter and her staff are so welcoming from the moment you get there. With everything going on right now I was unsure if they would let me go inside, and they did. They walked me and my pup straight into the room so we aren't waiting in the lobby. I did not have to wait long and I was able to ask questions without feeling like I was a bother or taking all of their time. We've been taking our zoo here for some time now and the service hasn't changed a bit. This group of people care immensely about every single animal that they see. My husband, mother and I feel so comfortable every time we call the office or walk through the door. Not only do they make us feel like part of the family, but they are damn good healthcare providers too. Dr.Senter is incredibly knowledgeable-- additionally, I have the utmost trust in all of the information provided by Lou, their insanely experienced and intelligent vet tech! This place is AMAZING. I needed an emergency visit for my cat and they were able to get me in same day after calling vets all over. I had another emergency with my kittens a few weeks later, and again they were able to see me same day without any crazy fees. The doctor and techs were super sweet, very knowledgeable, and didn't nickel and dime me. They presented all options, but were willing to chat with me to find out what was necessary and what we could hold off to save money. They were also incredibly compassionate and treated my babies with care and grace. I'm never going back to another

I scheduled another visit for a specific date and time. Arrived for the appointment only to be told they do have any appointment scheduled for us but they can try to "squeeze us in" but since they were pretty busy that may have been a long wait.
Now keep in mind I have the call I made to schedule this appointment recorded. The office just never actually scheduled the appointment.
Will not be returning and already found another vet.

Our poor puppy was injured from her collar getting caught on her kennel and we were worried it would get infected. Our vet was closed so we decided to rush across town to the Central Mesa Veterinary Hospital. On the phone they stated they were booked for the day but could squeeze us in.

Dr. Senter, Lou and all the office staff have been great! They have cared for my Molly for almost 6 years. Due to moving to Phoenix, Molly and I have recently found another vet, but I would like to give them a HUGE thanks for being awesome with Molly. The new vet even gave them kudos for writing detailed notes that were easy to read and understand, so thank you for that! It made our first visit with the new vet easy flowing.

Absolutely one of the best vets we have used so far! We have a high maintenance pup with epilepsy and they have been so helpful with finding the best medication to give her the most control of her seizures! They suggest what they think is the best option but are more than willing to work around your budget and find the best alternatives. Their small office has always been quiet and not stressful on my dogs (which is great for my epileptic one). They have always gotten us in very quickly and the staff is incredibly friendly. Dr. Dawn is the best! She has been my vet for numerous years now and I would never go anywhere else. She and Lou are very honest, and do not sugar coat things and that's what I trust most about them. They are very hard working and go above and beyond for their patients.

We called when our friend's pups was hit by a car on a walk in the morning (in the cross walk!). The receptionist was kind and empathetic and got us in right away. We were seen quickly and felt heard, and understood. It turns out the pup was just fine, but Dawn looked carefully at everything and clearly explained our options for care. We weren't sold on a bunch of unneeded tests. We are in love with this vet!

I've had a lot of animals in my day and also used to work at a Vet Hospital. I have to say that Dr. Senter, Lou and their staff are the BEST, most compassionate Vet Hospital to take your pets in Mesa!
I've been taking my animals to Dr. Senter for years and I wouldn't trust anyone else with them. She's done everything she could to not only help my pets and keep them in the best shape they can be, but she's also very compassionate and understanding with the owners as well, and keeps in mind their ability to afford veterinary care.

Amazing experience!. If the staff here had this much compassion over my guinea pig I know exactly who to take my dogs to when they need a Vet!. Dawn and her assistants made me feel at ease when making tough decisions regarding our pet. They talked with me through all my options and sometimes, as pet owners, we need to do what is best for the animal and your family. The staff here respected the choices we made and were extremely helpful while they gave me time and presented all my options to me.
