KLD Engineering, P.C. (KLD PC) is an engineering professional services firm incorporated in New York State in 1997. Its client base to date has tended to be government agencies and the power industry, with some private sector clients. KLD PC has acted as prime, and has been part of teams with larger consultants in serving its clients. We believe that we have an excellent and long-term reputation with our client base, delivering quality work on time and within budget.
Our work and the skills of our professional staff continually leads us into new areas, including a number of adaptive traffic control projects, hurricane and power plant evacuation studies, big data analysis of newer paratransit services, GIS-based studies of warning systems coverage areas, traffic impact, and connected vehicles.Since early 2013, KLD PC has had a new generation of leadership that control and guide the company.

Satya has extensive project management experience in traffic engineering and ITS. He has managed projects such as traffic impact studies, data collection and related analyses of large datasets, the development and application of tools for the analysis of MPT plans, and active traffic management systems.
KLD completed the annual traffic counts for the PANYNJ at all their crossings in 2014 and 2015. KLD worked closely with Trip Consultants USA, Inc., who provided the staff and equipment to complete the two data collection efforts in the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015.
The PANYNJ was looking for traffic counts at all of their crossings in both directions (tolled and non-tolled) which was completed using a combination of traffic counters and video based data reduction. In addition, the PANYNJ requested data to be collected at the bus terminal, and at the toll plazas related to the bus operations and the toll plaza operations.

With its proximity to Los Angeles and large event venues, the City of Arcadia wanted a better way to respond to both expected and unexpected traffic congestion. They partnered with TransCore and KLD Engineering, P.C. to install ACDSS as an integrated adaptive traffic signal control system that helps monitor traffic conditions and manage congestion in high traffic areas.
TransCore and KLD Engineering, P.C. partnered in this project to install ACDSS along 10 intersections on 135th St, a major east-west cross-city street that carries heavy traffic through the center of the city while the daily variations cannot be addressed well by conventional time of day control.
At one critical intersection, the control system capitalizes on the advanced scripting capability of ACDSS to provide sophisticated adaptive operations for the traffic conditions. At other intersections, the system uses its internal optimization algorithms to adjust the signal timings in real time.
