Jon was very flexible and accommodating. It was a professional and relaxing environment and I felt comfortable with the COVID protocols. The entry survey was long but useful and I even got stretching tips for my problem areas after my massage

First time visiting for a 90 minute appointment. They were extensive in asking about my needs and addressed a variety of spots during a deep tissue session that could be the cause of my lower and upper back pain.

Bodywaves is an oasis in the heart of Haymarket. Do not let the bustle of the market deter you; once you lie down in the bed you will be transported. I’ve had two massages here and both were absolutely fantastic.
Reasonable COVID protocols are in place and I felt incredibly safe during my time in the building and while interacting with staff. Jesse was kind, attentive, and talented. I will certainly be back.

Anyways, I would try to make sure once again you guys dont waste your money here. *I paid for the 90 mins massage and the masseur only did the massage for 65 mins*. I assure you that this is the same as other cheap massage centers where they charge more and give you less services. Never coming again here.

I had a EXCELLENT couple massage (covid age) with my wife . We will totally go back whenever we can, it was worth it. The give you 2 rooms with a space where you can see and talk to each other. It was pretty nice despite covid rules.
The massage is an all body thing and they make you feel quite relax

One of the best massages of my life.. seriously. I had Tabitha. She had reviewed my notes but also confirmed in room my areas of attention. Also provided her feedback and how she would work through. Then, honestly she provided one the best deep tissue massages I’ve ever had(Attention, pressure, workflow). Highly recommend.
If you’re worried about the pandemic - don’t prevent it from getting some much needed work done here. She took great care with safety measures(temp, sanitizer, provided masks etc).

Franklin was amazing!!! I have been receiving massages for the last 20 years. Franklin is "hands down" the best! I was in Boston while my husband was having surgery at Mass General. I called Bodywaves to get in for a same day 90 minute massage and Franklin miraculously had an opening. When I arrived, I was feeling quite tense and had significant knots throughout my body from stress and my intense morning workout. .Franklin combined myofascial work with deep tissue massage releasing every knot and leaving in a physical and mental state of relaxation I did not believe would be possible

I always have a great experience at Bodywaves. The massage therapists have always listened and customized my massage accordingly. Plus all the COVID measures in place are great, I felt really comfortable and safe.

Although originally I had a very bad experience here, they made up for it in full. I had an hour and a half massage with Jonothan and it was the best massage I have ever had. The owner was very kind and very concerned about the bad experience I had the first time.

Jonathan was super attentive to my injuries and where I needed work. His pressure level was perfect and tried tactics that I've never had in a massage before.

My friend and I were looking for a couple's massage after we spent four days working at a conference - for context, my friend was in pain any time she stood up. We're from out of town and stumbled upon Bodywaves and couldn't be more grateful that we did. I love this place so much! I've been going fairly consistently since 2017 and almost without fail I've had incredible massages here! The ambiance within the space is very calming, clean, and restful and it is well-worth any trade-off you make being near to Haymarket.

Bodywaves has a pleasant studio space, and a prompt and helpful staff. This was my first visit and my therapist was excellent. He went straight to the problem areas and gave me a very well integrated massage. I needed the body work and benefited very much from it. I'll definitely come back.

I recently moved to Boston from NYC where I was spoiled with how many great massage spots there were. I searched around Boston for quite a while until I found Bodywaves. And IT IS THE BEST. I have had several different therapists and they are all great. I liked it so much that I became a member and get treatments at least once a month. Great for the mind, body and soul! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

Jonathan was great. He took the time to ask questions about my goals for the massage, my past injuries, and what my current fitness plan was to identify areas of potential soreness / injury. Massage was awesome and I feel like a new person after it.

Definitely an expensive "treat yourself" moment, but I'll be back!

Absolutely love Anna and had SUCH a fabulous experience with Lori! I literally just left and feel so incredibly relaxed . It was so needed!! They are definitely the place to go when you need some relaxation and releasing tension! Lori incorporated energy work into my massage too, I just absolutely loved it! Highly recommend!

As an update, I went back today and had an amazing experience. The place is still beautiful and very relaxing.

I specifically want to thank Frank for a fantastic massage. He didn't give me the massage I wanted but he gave me the massage I needed. I didn't know there was a difference until today. When I go back I will ask for him again.

I purchased a couples massage for my husband at Christmas time. The massage was probably one of the best massages I have had in a very long time. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is we went on a Saturday when the street market was open. The massage room was right above the market, which is very loud. Not only did we hear the vendors shouting to sell their wares, but what sounded like a dog fight broke out. My recommendation would be to schedule when the street market isn't open if you are hoping for quiet, relaxation.

Best massage place in Boston! Clean space, awesome people, and worth the money!! I've had many massages and this one has become my top favorite spot! So much so I just signed up for the membership which is so worth it for the discount..

Franklin is extremely knowledgeable about the human body and helped release a lot of tightness in my legs by targeting the psoas and hip joint area. Also helped relax my shoulders by getting into the back of my neck!! Can't wait to go back!!

Omg Frank is life saver!!! My body was sore and in pain and he definitely worked out the kinks. The facility is clean and just lovely. The team at Bodywaves is fantastic. I will absolutely be back!

Franklin specifically addressed my tight shoulder and spent a great deal of time working the area. He clearly knows what he is doing because my back felt so relieved after!

He does do an in-depth consultation before the treatment, so you will be able to discuss all the details of what you want areas need specific attention.

Unlike every other massage I've received (and much to my satisfaction), you start off laying on your back which allows your back to loosen up a bit! I wish I could tell you more but it was so relieving that I fell asleep!

Second-time review, years later. Same massage therapist. Franklin Marcelo's talent is incomprehensible. His technique is uniquely effective, utilizing a variety of adaptable styles and- I am telling you- will leave a lasting impression on you. My winter shoulder shrug, laptop neck, and t-rex arms were all addressed and tamed just after one 90 minute visit. The 90 minute session is definitely worth booking with Franklin!
You might first think the location is a little hidden, but it's actually pretty convenient if you are ever around the city. A good habit to start and absolutely fair

Really great. I was visiting from out of town and came here. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was unusually friendly and helpful. Their website lists Thai massage, which I wanted, but they don't actually have it, at least at the moment (update your site!). My massage therapist-- I think his name was Nick-- listened to what I wanted and did a great job. Gave helpful suggestions afterward. I'd definitely recommend them.

I'm surprised by people complaining about the location and/or building. It's a cute, small, spa upstairs in a nice building. Very easy
