Desert Terrace Healthcare Center is a modern, state-of-the-art care center, conveniently located on North 24th Street, between Thomas Road and East McDowell Road, along side the Grand Canal. We are a short drive from area hospitals including Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, Maricopa Medical Center, and Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix.

My grandfather was sent here from Banner Thunderbird and it is disgusting. The tv doesn’t work and we weren’t allowed to see him. The place was dirty and it looked like a motor home. We did get a chance to see him through the window only to find him in a wet brief. He said the call light would be on and people there would just turn it off. When I asked a CNA to clean him up, it took them 30 minutes to get it done. The CNAs have anywhere from 10-21 patients at a time. If you want your family to be well taken care of, do NOT send them here.

My mom was transferred from University Medical Center by ambulance. Staff threw her in a chair. Ripped out one of her staples. Said she wasn't allowed any of her meds heart pills etc till after the holidays. She called me crying and begging to leave. Sent me pics of blood and open wound and no one would assist her.. Tried calling multiple times while driving down there.. just rings and says wireless caller can't be reached. Finally got here and no one will answer the door. They have honestly kept her captive. Won't allow her to leave. When I called her cell and asked her to put nurse on phone they

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. Read through the comments and most (if not all) complain about not being able to get a hold of a single person. I've called more than 10x for someone to never answer. Once I did get someone to answer, I was left on hold for over 10 mins. Asked to have a phone call returned, it never happened and my brother passed. It took this facility 5 days of claiming to be transferring my brother to hospice to it never happening and him then passing alone at the hands of these people. I called his cell phone directly the day before they claimed they were

I have my grandma here and just to hear her be in peace making me feel calm and relieved and not to mention that she doesn't like the hospital!! she really loves it here .I was call her and all I hear her say that she gets treated with care and respect. Her room is always clean my grandpa goes and visits her through the window and he says that the housekeeper marisel is always asking how's their day going so far keeps a nice conversation going that very nice of her . The young lady in the front desk i think her name is Jessica is very professional and makes sure my grandma gets her stuff on time

My dad was here in the summer and he had covid 19. I rate your place as a zero. In the 2 months he was there there my mom could not visit because of covid rules. My brother and I live out of state and in those 2 months we hardly ever heard from staff. We would call tons of times a day and everyday and no one would answer us or call back. I realize you were busy but each patient has family who cares about them. We could never get through to anyone. My brother got through to staff twice. They called when he fell and went to hospital and also when he had pneumonia. You people have no compassion. What

I wish I could leave more stars! My uncle was here for a few months and has since recovered and returned home. The staff was courteous and professional, the rooms were clean, and my uncle received the highest level of care. I never once worried about the care he received and our family was kept informed of his progress every step of the way. So thankful we found Desert Terrace when we did!

Very nice staff. Nurses are overloaded but great attitudes and caring.
Building is clean! Michelle/ housekeeping is excellent.
The food is actually very good! Great menu!
Only negatives are the LACK of supplies and Dr VISITS for medicine continuation from hospitals.
Lack of wheelchairs, walkers, no heating pads, correct containers for C-Dif testing....
