Services
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#46.002816) in the state of Connecticut with my Masters and Educational Specialist degrees in clinical mental health counseling from James Madison University. I have extensive experience providing individual and group therapy to adults, adolescents, and children in a number of settings including community mental health agencies and college counseling centers.
In our work together, you can expect a confidential and non-judgmental environment in which to explore your concerns and challenges. I use an integrative approach to therapy, meaning that I draw from a number of treatment modalities depending on the individual needs of the person I am meeting with including:.
Counseling sessions are generally 50 minutes each. The best results can be expected when you attend therapy weekly, at least in the beginning. In our work together, we will focus on exploring your concerns, finding solutions as quickly as possible, and moving forward. I strive to empower those I work with to make positive changes and build coping skills for the future rather than relying on therapy indefinitely.
Whether you are just beginning a private practice, are hoping to see a few clients a week, or simply don't want to deal with the hassle of signing a lease and furnishing a space, subleasing an office can be an excellent alternative. The office is located in West Hartford Center, close to many popular restaurants, businesses, and the highway.
I am available for supervision, consultation, trainings, and presentations on a number of topics. As a former college counselor, I have experience providing outreach and consultation to students, faculty, and staff and have had the opportunity to provide supervision to counselors-in-training, all which I found to be rewarding and engaging experiences.
