Located in sunny Punta Gorda, Florida and renowned for its great food, atmosphere and gracious hospitality, the Turtle Club inspired Bill's vision to create a sister restaurant with its own great food, unique character & atmosphere in upstate NY, hence the creation of The Glass Tavern. Much of The Glass Tavern is constructed utilizing reclaimed material from Bill's grandparent's farm on Waite Road in Clifton Park.

The staff went above and beyond to be sure we knew all our food and drink options, and that we were enjoying ourselves and our meals. However, the menu was limited and all the food was bland. At our table, we ordered carnitas tacos, fish & chips, and brisket with mac & cheese. Very simply, there wasn't much (if any) flavor. I needed a ton of lemon to give my fish a little something to make it better. The chips, which also came with the tacos, were crispy with no salt, and the ones at the bottom were not fully fried -- they were still *soggy* from the oil! The tortillas were cold. The mac & cheese

Went there tonight the first time since they reopened and I have to say I would be shocked if they are still open by the end of the year. We sat at the bar and ordered an appetizer that was cold and not very good, and the bartender was in way over her head and we even heard the waitresses saying how many tables were were unhappy with the wait time to receive their food. This place used to be the talk of the town and now even with the place at 50% capacity the wait time for dinners is around and hour. This restaurant has completely gone down hill since it opened. What used to be an upper scale dining experience is now closer to dining out a low end chain restaurant. With an intended excellent dinning experience like we’ve experienced in the past was regrettably a disappointment with this the most recent experience. The service was slow, unknowledgeable of the evening dinner specials when asked if the dish came fried, broiled or seared or even what sides it comes with, the staff was seen throughout the dining room floor on their personal devices hence the slow unattended table service. Food was excellent. My hamburger was cooked to perfection and the fries are to die for. The tuna appetizer was like no other. Only negative is that they don’t serve bread. You only get these spicy muffins, which are not something you expect to have before a hamburger. They should have a choice for plain, simple bread. 😞

This place is the total BOMB!!!! I loved their oysters, mussels and everything they serve. They started off with this amazing jalapeno cornbread that was just moist and tasty with little bit of kick. Came on a Monday night for their oysters and mussels special. I ate wonderfully at this place. This is definitely a must go place if you crave great seafood and service.

It started off rough we had made a reservation for 4 people, we noticed we were running late I believe it was 20 to 30 minutes . We called to inform and they said OK no problem, all set. When we got there we were informed there was no table available for us. I was upset but I understood . We sat at the raw bar grabbed some apps and waited for a table to open up. It was their jazz night so we listened and talked with a glass of wine and the apps. A table opened up for us near the fireplace which was awesome, I was happy about that really sets the tone, we ordered dinner and wine starting to enjoying

Nice interior, cozy bar, outdoor seating, hit and miss entrees. Mac n cheese with ribs was very tasty, the small filet with asparagus while prepared as requested had a fishy taste from failure to clean grille or the use of a common serving device and the surf n turf just okay. The Glass Tavern has potential but not there yet.
