These guys are honest and 100% legitimate. I received one of their mailers regarding a pending lawsuit. At first I thought it was a gimmick or a trick to get me to call. But it wasn't, so please, if you received a mailer from this group, do your research and you'll see their communication is legitimate.
After a quick call, it was determined that it was better for me to try and handle on my own based on the suit filed. Who does that? These guys are honest, give them a try!!! 100% will use them if and when needed in the future!

I received a summons and the next week I received a letter from the civil attorneys group that offered a free consultation. I called them and they returned my call within 30 mins. They were extremely helpful and spent about 40 mins with me on the free consultation. They offered some free advice for me to attempt to on how to settle my case without their assistance or charging me.
Although I followed their advice and attempted to relative my issue out of court.l, I have decided to retain them and utilize their expertise.

They sent a letter to my wife without verifying the name was correct. Have fun hiring an attorney without any attention to details.
Update: Just in case anyone needed further proof as to what I said, feel free to read their response below. I never called their business a scam despite their best (yet lazy) efforts to paint it that way. Just in case they wanted to edit their post, I've included a screenshot. Do better guys.

I DID call your office on Sunday and left you a message as soon as my father gave me the letter as he was scared and did not understand why he received it. Did not receive a call back and left my personal number. Look at the verbiage saying that If the named defendant fails to respond to this lawsuit then orders to pay spousal/child support and attorney fees can be determined without the Defendants input. This is very deceptive especially when my father has had people misuse his personal information years ago. I'm not going to keep playing this game with your company. These letters are

With the information he provided and the scheduled free consultation, I will be able to move forward with an informed decision. If anyone is going through a similar situation, then I highly suggest contacting CAG.

I called several law firms because I didn't know how to respond to the court documents. The Civil Attorneys Group returned my call within 30 minutes and answered all my questions and explained my options without pressuring me to hire them.
I did speak to the receptionists for 2 of the other attorneys offices who took my information and promised to respond after speaking to the attorney, but never heard back from them. I also spoke to 1 other

Would give zero stars if possible. Received a letter about a lawsuit filed against "me." The court case number was valid and the defendant had my name. I'm freaking out but have no idea what this is about and had never heard of the Civil Attorneys Group or the plaintiff in the case. I have never had any bad debts or been sent to collections. I try calling the Civil Attorneys Group for my "free consultation" to get to the bottom of this...no answer...has not returned my call or responded to their chat on their website. To be honest I was absolutely scared because I have never received anything like this in the mail before. The gentleman I talked to was so, so helpful and gave me some kind of hope and guidance on my next step in dealing with this Court case. Thank you fellow Yelpers for sharing. I received a letter in the mail announcing a lawsuit. I'm refinancing with Logix Credit Union so why would they sue me? I'm probably the only person in California with my name, it's highly unusual. No chance of mistaken identity.
The problem with the US is way too many lawyers.
I can't believe this so called law group continues to prey upon the unsuspecting public. I'm in LA County, they're in Orange County. Their business must be doing poorly to have to throw their net into other counties. Shady!

What is wrong with these people? My mother who has been happily married for 50 years, going through chemo, and a senior citizen just received this letter. She nearly fainted! Naturally I call these people and the answering machine answered. If you are reading this, Please be advised to leave my mother alone!!

How dare you send me a letter saying that I had filed for divorce. I absolutely love my wife - we are soul mates.
My wife received your letter with my name on it, saying that I had filed for a divorce. She freaked out and had a panic attack because she thought it was real. Then she realized that it wasn't legit and finally calmed down.
For those of you looking for an attorney, I would stay away from these guys. Very, very shady stuff going on.
