Dr. Sekut is undoubtedly the best veterinarian I know and one of the best people I know. He is intelligent, funny, kind and he cares so deeply for every animal he sees. I ask a LOT of questions and I want to know every single detail all the time. He answers every question with detail and patience and takes seriously the owners concerns. Have you ever just "had a feeling" that something is wrong and had a hard time getting a vet to take you seriously? Not with Dr. Sekut. I was so glad that I was able to find a local vet that could give my guinea pig the care that he needed after an injury. Dr. Les Sekut takes the time to explain and answer any questions that you may have, and it is obvious that both he, and his staff, actually care about the well-being of your pet. I am so pleased with the care provided at Newport News Animal Hospital, that I have transferred my cat over from a previous vet.

Took my grand fur baby there today for emergency, the staff was very friendly. The best part was theVet doctor himself was very caring and explained everything that was going with my daughter's dog. He was able to calm her down because she was very nervous when we went into the exam room. He fix the problem on the spot and now my grand fur baby is back to eating and being her diva self again. Thanks to the staff.

This was not a good experience. No one wanted to answer any of my questions, and when they did they were short and condescending and rude—even when I explained that this was our first time. They didn’t pet or talk to my dog or offer him treats even as they took blood and administered vaccines. Their attitude was very rude and negative about his size (90lbs), even going so far as to say a woman had no business trying to care for a dog that big. The entire experience was a nightmare for me and my dog. I was shocked to read so many good reviews after the experience I had. This was the worst vet

Bottom line the staff and doctor saved my dogs life. My dog had a blockage in his intestines and I took him there. The doctor tried to avoid cutting him open but when I took my dog back the next day they had no choice. They gave me the cheapest price they could because I am military and they knew how much my dog meant to me. The staff there is amazing and they are honestly the most trustworthy staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of taking my dog to. My dog is recovering now and is getting better day by day. If you have any issues serious or minor the staff and doctor will 100 percent take care of

Wonderful staff and veterinarian care. Our bunny wasn’t moving, constipated for almost 24 hours. His vet was booked and we couldn’t fine help all day. At 6:00 pm we brought him to the the emergency service at Newport News Animal Hospital, the doctor was amazing he evaluated and medicated him and in an hours he was jumping around again. Definitely we will coming back. I totally recommend this place.

Dr. Sekut is THE MAGIC MAN!! I have NEVER met a more brilliant man who WILL figure out what is wrong with your pet! it doesn't matter if the are 2 or 22, he loves them all and will try his absolute best to save… them!! I am SO impressed with his kindness to patient and family, that I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else and he isn't just 5 stars, he's 20!

I took my dog here as he had two large lumps on his neck. Turns out he has cancer. Dr. Sekut was wonderful with him and me! I highly recommend him and his team for any of your pets needs. They are all professional, friendly and really care about your pets. They are taking extremely great care with my dog. I'm so glad I went to see them.

The best ever Rachel Bree Diana and the doctor have went above and beyond to help all four of my dogs numerous of times they have actually saved my dogs like four different occasions they actually delivered all nine of my dogs puppies and if it wasn’t for them three of her puppies would’ve died for being in her for too long because she had so many… and was having complications delivering I watched them do CPR on three of my puppies and get fluid from out of them after they were born because they were not breathing also they have gave a great care to my puppy Capone they went

Would NEVER take my precious babies anywhere else!!! He did a phenomenal job with my 20+-year-old cat Tabatha before she died several years ago and was wonderful with my dog Oreo when we thought she had breast cancer. Banfield wanted to just cut her up for nothing but profit without even knowing if it was cancerous and even lied to us and said it was impossible to biopsy but Dr.Sekut biopsied it without a hitch and managed to do it without even upsetting her. If you love your animals never take them anywhere else

Dr. Sekut is the best vet I know and a wonderful person. All the people who work at this animal hospital are fantastic and they do an amazing job. Not only does he know what he is doing but he goes above and beyond to make sure your pet is well taken care of. He will explain everything he is doing in detail to make sure you understand and continue… to check on the pet to make sure recovery is speedy and with no complica. My husband and I only have so much to thank for saving our rabbit's life. Not many vets know about rabbits. Dr. Sekut is an exceptional professional.
