Amy Enkling Counseling
Are you so busy making a living that you've forgotten to make a life? Are you in a demanding career? Are you experiencing increased stress or anxiety? Is your personal life, or are your relationships, suffering? Is finding a work/life balance proving difficult due to ongoing personal struggles or changes you're going through?

In sessions with me, I can help you identify where your thoughts, beliefs and habits may he holding you back. We can compassionately but directly look at the pain you have experienced in your life and set up an environment where you give yourself permission to begin to let go of what no longer serves you.
Services
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor that has worked in different agencies and facilities, served a diversity of people's concerns, been employed in work environments that proved stressful-and overcame those stressors, and now as an entrepreneur in my field, I understand how demanding careers can make it difficult to balance your work and your life.
I am not in network with insurance companies. However, many of my clients have been reimbursed by their insurance companies for my services as an out-of-network provider through my providing a Superbill. You also are able to use your Health or Flex Savings Accounts-of which some will also accept a Superbill for reimbursement.
Since graduate school, I've felt everything was based on relationships. We have relationships in one way or another with others that are either directly or indirectly involved in our personal lives. I believe the relationship with ourselves is the most important one of all.

How we see ourselves is reflected in how we view others, the way we view situations, the choices that we make, how we interact with others, and how we see our place in the world. We are always "becoming". Our life is a constant work in progress.
Have your worrisome thoughts or fears caused you to avoid social interactions or situations to stay feeling comfortable? Do you find yourself trying too hard to gain acceptance from others besides yourself, or feel judged by others? Maybe you feel your best when you are alone so you do not have to find a way to cope with the stress that anxiety brings you?
Maybe you feel okay during your busy day, but you can't wait to get home to "get it out" when you're alone. Maybe you think, "If only I could find a way to fix things, I could get my relationship back". We wish things could work, but sometimes they don't.

Whether you're struggling with being able to make it through your days because of unresolved emotions, what you're feeling is making it difficult to keep focus on your responsibilities or important people in your life, or you're finding it difficult navigating your way back into the dating scene, getting one-on-one therapy and support can help.We can work through your emotions, or on finding your identity and happiness again.

My sessions with Amy were quite the experience. Every session was different from the last (in a great way), and more powerful than I expected. Amy provided the right environment for me to speak freely and comfortably. Coupled with brain spotting, I strongly believe it all helped me significantly.
We all have experiences that span decades that we need to overcome to elevate to the next level in life. I would highly recommend Amy’s services to anyone. Thank you Amy.

I have seen many therapist and Amy far exceeds any of my past therapist. I would highly recommend Amy as she is highly skilled in her field. Finally someone who actually listens to what I say, understands, and has helped me grow. Not only is Amy skilled at what she does but what separates her from the rest is her genuine self. She has compassion and truly cares. Therapy is not just her job but something you can tell she has passion for. It is very difficult for me to open up and express myself but with Amy I feel most at ease. She is very sincere and helpful I am very blessed to have her as my

Amy led me to believe that she could provide reasonable accommodation for my emotional support animal from our very first conversation. After having 3 sessions which totaled over $500 she then informed me that she did not have the qualification to do so. I was left in a financial bind and without the proper certification for my animal. If she couldn't provide the service she should have been honest as many other therapist were when asking around. Instead she collected my money and would have continued if I would have never reminded her to complete the letter. Shame on you Amy, I hope no one else

Amy is a very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate therapist. She has helped many people improve their self-esteem, reduce anxiety and depression, find themselves after divorce and reconnect with their authentic selves. Amy is trained in Brainspotting, which is an incredibly powerful approach for resolving trauma, performance issues, physical pain and many other problems much more quickly than conventional therapies. I recommend Amy to anyone looking for individual counseling in the St.Petersburg area.

I met Amy years ago in the community mental health setting and we reconnected recently after I entered into the private practice realm. She is kind, funny and provides a comfortable and welcoming environment for her clients. I find her easy to talk to and have recommended her, especially for her knowledge in helping women navigate life after divorce, coping with anxiety, and improving self esteem!

Amy is a wonderful person and counselor to talk to. I was seeking to improve my self esteem and find healthy coping techniques for past trauma when I first came to her. She has been attentive, compassionate, and honest in every session. She has provided countless resources to improve my overall well being that I can carry with me for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Amy because of these attributes and her professional experience. I am so grateful to have found her when I did!

I've had the pleasure to work with Amy on various projects. She genuinely cares about her clients and truly is dedicated to her business. She's "real" and down to earth and I'd recommend giving her a call to see if she is the right therapist for you.

Amy is able to balance compassion with professionalism to provide a wonderful service for her patients. She's excited about serving her community by providing support groups and other options to help people in the way that best fits for them. I've known Amy for a few months through networking, but I can tell she'll go above and beyond for her patients. I would highly recommend her for anyone in need of counseling!

I've known Amy for several years and she has always been a genuine and compassionate professional. She recently was a customer of mine and stayed calm and level headed even when the going got tough! I'm sure she handles her business with the same level head and for that I don't hesitate to recommend her.
