Services
Dr. Oden has practiced in several different hospitals and helped build and manage a successful practice in Lubbock. It was not God's will for him to own that practice, so he established Oden Veterinary Hospital in October of 2015. In 2019, we started the construction of a new, larger facility.

Dr. Blaine Oden graduated from Texas Tech University in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. Shortly thereafter, he began veterinary school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts. In 2003, Dr. Oden graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. He has practiced at several different veterinary hospitals in that time.

We’ve been going here two years. Moved here from east tx. In my past experience with vet offices they see patients in this order emergencies, appts, then walk ins. Called this morning bc my dauschund hurt his back and could not walk. They could not get me in til two days later which is way too late. Needs some sort of relief/treatment plan now as back injuries to dauschunds are serious. I WILL NOT be going back and finding a new vet.

Very happy with visit. Recently visited another vet in town that seriously overcharged me and repeatedly asked for additional services I kept saying no to.
Oden was very professional and pleasant to deal with. They were thorough and very reasonably priced and I didn't fee like I was being taken advantage of.
I changed to them because my previous vet stopped requiring curbside and social distancing and I was happy to find one as efficient that still does it and is reasonably priced.
I will definitely be going back.

Does not recommend if dog has parvo ... live oaks parvo unit I would recommend. My Dog I adopted from the pound has Parvo .. took him to Dr Oden ... not once did they call me and give me an update ... Not once did they give me a daily cost ... When I asked the receptionist about getting me a daily cost .. she replied with I can’t do that .. So I… was labeled rude lol ! Ok then I said I want Dr . Oden to call me .. He called .. he said he couldn’t call me on updates about my dog because he has not had a day off in 6 months ... no compassion at all ! Unacceptable for a vet not

Best vet clinic ever!! Best vet too. My wife had Dr. Oden as one of her prayers preceptors during her Vet Tech class. She really loved being around him, learning from. We've been taking our dogs here for a few years now. He's always taken great care. My wife also really wants to work for him too, like really, really, really bad!!! So please, Dr Oden hire her even part time, she'll take whatever you can pay her. Please I'm tired of hearing how bad she wants to work for you lol.

Everyone here is so sweet and professional! I've seen both Dr. Oden and Dr. Ledford and they both are fabulous. They listen to your concerns no matter how small they may be. The vet techs are also knowledgable and kind, and if they don't have an answer, they will make sure to figure it out for you. I recommend everyone use Oden if they're looking for a trustworthy vet. Thank you guys for all you do! <3

We took our little girl in to them never being there before, looked at our baby and knew exactly what she needed. They jumped right in and fixed her up. When we got there she was in very condition this was her the next day....she loved them too. Dr. Oden (Blaine as he called himself) and his WONDERFUL people rock!!!
