Having been here a few times, I would say that it is not something you would go to for a fancy sit down meal. I will say if you are looking for a sports bar that has a ton of TV's and cold beer you may have found the right place. The food is great burgers, fries and your typical choices. I haven't had anything yet that was bad. Check it out if you want someplace casual.

My mother and I came in for lunch and ordered one sandwich and nachos. 45 minutes later, I had to ask the waitress where our food was. It took another 10 minutes to get our food and when it arrived it was cold. The nachos looked like they had over microwaved the chips and cheese as it was burnt and the toppings were cold. My mother’s sandwich looked like it had been left to sit for 10 minutes and then rewarmed again. Lousy service, lousy food. We won’t be back.

Don't live super close to CEC but wish I did. Ended up there for Monday Night Football. It was busy and the waitress said they got slammed all at once. She did her best while the kitchen tried to catch up. Ended up being some of the best bar food I've ever had and really pleasant people on staff. Kudos to whoever owns this place - neighborhood watering hole done right!

Food is hit and miss. Used to love the fish tacos but now they're skimpy. Food isn't cheap so we expect better - at least consistency. Was in with my husband, we sat for over 15 minutes and were completely ignored. There was plenty of staff and the restaurant wasn't even busy. The table next to us had 2 servers taking care of them. Not one even looked our way. I asked my husband if we were invisible - he said yes so we left and went to V's.

Im sorry but 1.5 hour wait for food. (Nachos) Just to be super salty and unable to eat. I walked out. Sad. Its not 100% their fault due to labor shortage but this is the new times we are in. And don't expect it to improve. This is survival of the fittest, only the restaurants that have great food and service will make it out. Those who are subpar will continue to decline as less and less will be willing to work there due to poor quality. This is one of them. We been here over 20x and since covid its a decline with no end in sight. See ya!!

I've heard great things about this place but when I went the bartender was Kaycee and during the service I heard her talking badly about someone she had served to other patrons. After my meal and drinks I payed with cash and she never brought me my change back which amounted to way more than 20% what my total was, especially after the awful service she provided. Over all I felt uncomfortable and I'm scared to give it another chance in fear of everyone being as rude as her. Honestly, if they have her there I don't think it's worth going back.

Call me crazy but when I spend $30 on two hamburgers, we should get more fries than this. They're starting to do this in many restaurants because of inflation and the cost of goods. They're charging you the same price but they are cutting back your portions. I used to love this place, but not anymore. I will never eat here again. This is absolutely pathetic and the cook who put this to go order together should be ashamed of himself. TW THUMBS DOWN.

Love this place! Friendly Staff. Manager, Brian, is AWESOME! Food is delicious. Drinks are great! Prices are very reasonable. My only suggestion is that Management get a couple of blenders & add some FROZEN drinks to the menu (Like strawberry daiquiri). It's hot outside, so some frozen drinks would be a great add-on to the drink menu.

Really bad services from the time we walked in to the 20 minutes later when we walked right back out. Came in on a Sunday night at 8pm to see they already closed the grill pretty much despite normally closing at 10. We were greeted by absolutely Noone and weren't seen by a server for a solid 10 to 15 minutes. We walked out after ordering our drinks and realizing the rest of the experience will be piss poor. Pretty sad. Not sure if will give another shot.

We got there and it stated "please seat yourself" we found an open table to only be told by the server that the people sitting there were smoking. I watched outside and actually saw the people pull up in their vehicles, walk in hug the server and continue on. She completely lied! We sat outside for 10 min before we had to ask for a server. Ordered drinks and got our app before our drinks! We alerted the manager about what happened with the table and she didn't care at all. She named the people sitting at the table by name like they were regulars. We went about our night. Our service

Cross eyed cricket is a great option for those living in Vistancia/north Peoria! Love the food! For being a "sports bar" they really do make excellent food choices, and hardly ever a wait snd drinks are also good like this blueberry lemonade alcoholic beverage! Only concern is if you call to order food to go, they often don't ever answer the phone. So you have to go in just to order. That can be a little upsetting. Either way love going I come for bdays etc I love it !!

I have met friends several times at Cross-eyed in the past for drinks, but never felt right leaving a review until I had a chance to eat a full meal. Luckily I finally had that chance for dinner last night. Because of COVID we opted for carry out. We called and placed the order and it was ready within about 20 minutes. The only downfalls with the ordering process was the fact that they do have a kid's menu but it is nowhere online, so I had to call get the options then call back. Love the cricket. It has your basic bar food, but it is good food. Wait staff and bartenders are always friendly. The owner Brian is very nice to talk to and the restaurant is exceptionally clean and also offers outdoor dining. Lottery tickets can be bought if that's your thing.
I live close and it's always nice to have a good place to hang, have a drink and some food.
They have a band night also. The bands are pretty great.
