NC Transmission has been serving Fuquay-Varina and surrounding communities since 2003 and has the experienced technician team to take the best care of YOUR car, truck or fleet. Brought my son's S2000 in with transmission problems. Local Honda dealer quoted $2000 but with service records as we had gotten it serviced there (at Honda) before.
Brought it into NC Transmission, got a quote for much less and with a specific diagnosis. It was fixed on time, as quoted and we've had no problems with the transmission since. Owner is honest and nice. Great mechanic worked on the car.

If you turn on your A/C if barely or no cold air comes out, your vehicle is probably low on refrigerant. Before you go and just fill up your vehicle you should know that there is more to an air-conditioning recharge. For instance, the refrigerant operates in a closed system, and the most likely cause for low levels will be a leak in the air-conditioning system.
There are two ways to check for brake wear on disc brakes: by looking and by listening. First, check for wear by looking at your brake pads through the spaces between the wheel's spokes. The outside pad will be pressed against a metal rotor. Generally, there should be at least 1/4 inch of the pad. If you see less than 1/4 inch of the pad, you may want to have your brake pads inspected or replaced.
The check-engine light burns in your vehicle's dashboard and instantly ignites horrible feelings in the hearts and wallets of auto owners everywhere; the dreaded "Check Engine" light. For some, it is a tiny annoyance. Many auto mechanics joke the best solution would be to put a piece of duct tape over it.
Regular scheduled Maintenance or preventive maintenance is probably the single thing you can do as a car owner to keep your ride happy and save money on repairs in the future. However, not everyone agrees on what preventive maintenance is, what you should do, and when you should do it. Let's clear that up, and give you some tips that'll apply to any vehicle.
When considering the critical systems of a vehicle, the suspension system often gets overlooked. Most drivers take for granted that the shocks and struts and other components will simply do their job indefinitely and do not require preventative maintenance and regular auto care. Of course, this assumption is not only wrong but can lead to disastrous consequences.

Stay as far away from these crooks as possible. I brought in my range rover to have the transmission fixed and they stated that everything was fixed for $1800. The day I want to pick it up the manager said that his technician overlooked an extra part that it needed and tried to charge me an extra $5800. Absolute crooks. Numerous people warned me not to go in this place. So glad I found a reputable place elsewhere.

First, let me say.....I am not one to normally write reviews on anything, but I was so ticked off about this issue, I had to share my story!! I would not recommend having your car serviced here! I took my car to NC Transmission last week to have my AC repaired and I feel like I was totally ripped off!! I had previously called NC Trans about my AC and told them I needed a compressor and they said that would run between $1100 and $1200, but they would do some diagnostics first, to make sure the compressor was the issue. Well, they end up evacuating and recharging the system (means pull the existing

These guys are extremely unprofessional. We paid them thousands of dollars to fix our clutch and when we finally got our car back a week later, we noticed there were multiple scratches along the side that weren't there before.
We contacted the owner the next day and he agreed to pay half the repairs since he "couldn't determine who's fault it was," although it was clearly their fault.
After getting an estimate done, we sent it over to them and the owner said he would only pay after the repairs were finished. The owner then went on to accuse us of trying to scam him out

I've come here before to get my Subaru Outback's transmission rebuilt as it was shuddering and shifting hard. They charged me around $4000 which I thought was reasonable until I got my car back. The shuddering was fixed, the hard shifting was not fixed and when I expressed my concern, the owner said he didn't know much about transmissions?? He claimed it could be an engine problem. Planning on taking it to the dealership to have that checked out, I left with a hard shifting vehicle. They told me to come back for a tune up in 1,000 miles, so I did just that. I was not made aware that

I think I figured out why he never answers the phone. He's always on the internet.
The guys in the back are good. Daniel not so much. He's not a car guy. Most of the time he doesn't answer the phone because he doesn't want to talk to you because he undersells and over promises jobs. He's passive aggressive so if he cops an attitude with you, it's not your fault. I went to NC Transmission with what I thought was a transmission problem. I talked to Daniel about the problem I was having and expressed the lack of funds that I had. Instead of charging me to do a diagnostic, we went for a drive so that he could identify the problem. He told me the problem I had and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. It was extremely nice to go to a mechanic and not be pressure into some service that I probably don't need. The staff was also very kind and I will be going back with any further vehicle problems I may have.

I will not take my vehicle any where else. Daniel and his crew have been my mechanic for the last 3 years and they are amazing. Being a woman, I hate when I go into a shop and get treated like I don't know what's going on or get taken advantage of. This is not the case at NC Transmission. Daniel and his crew treat me like one of the guys. If I don't understand something they break it down for me. Plus their fees are amazing too! I called around for quotes on a few things that I needed fixed over the last 3 years and Daniel always beats anyone else's price. Needless to

I used NC transmissions to take a look at the brake light that was on. They came back with a plethora of problems with my car and a 3,000 dollar price tag to go along with it. I had the brakes fixed only. After having another repairman take a look, I was told their markups on parts was 100 percent and that their cost for labor was way higher than the average. Get 2nd opinions. Nc transmissions is pricy.

My car was misfiring and I didn't want to drive it to my normal mechanic, so I took a gamble and brought it to NC Transmission which was close by. Their close proximity turned out to be the only good thing going for them. After a few hours they called back and told me there was a hole in the piston head and that replacing everything would cost somewhere around $4000! I would basically need to replace the engine.
Needless to say I went and got some 2nd and 3rd opinions, and everyone I could find told me that that sounds pretty far-fetched, as the computer is designed to avoid creating an environment
