Really good food, sushi is top notch, red dragon ramen was everything I wanted. Wasabi wontons are also delicious. I have been here several times- not a huge fan of the less spicy ramen/yakisoba but it's my personal preference. They were serviceable, contained a great mix of meat/vegetable to noodle/broth. Staff was friendly and worked quickly to get food out.

I ordered a bowl of pork ramen with pork belly and mushrooms. I'm only posting this because if you love ramen as I do you should know that you will be disappointed. The broth was flavorless.. watery with not an iota of body or depth. I've made packaged ramen at home with more character. The pork belly.. I don't even know why I ate it and I kept thinking afterwards.. what was that??! It was dark and for sure a few days old. Regret. The mushrooms weren't anywhere to be found and I would have been fine with it had the ramen been good but it was so very far from that. I

Sorry to say I've downgraded my opinion. For years it's been a regular place for me for the Katsudon, starting back at their Haines Road location. Unless my memory is failing me though, things have changed some at Woodland. On one visit I got the dish and it came with longer grained rice, like you would get in a Chinese restaurant. The waiter said they use that because people expect it (it's MN after all and all Asians eat the same food, right?) I have to specify sushi rice. So I started doing that. On my recent visit, even though I asked for sushi rice, it came with medium grain

I love this place! So many options, and everything I've ordered so far has been delicious. I'm obsessed with the north shore roll. I've never had a sushi roll like it before. The tempura appetizer easily feeds two, and it's crispy even when I order it as takeout. Everyone is really nice, too! Honestly, no complaints!

We were looking for some good Asian food while visiting Duluth and finally found this spot! The food was scrumptious and the decor was nice and space was clean. The service was friendly . The only odd part was we couldn't figure out where to park because it's in a strip mall type thing. As a vegetarian it was super easy for me to find food and they had vegan options as well. The tempura the wontons, the rice bowls, everything was amazing we will definitely be back next time we're in town!!

3 stars for food, a negative -100 stars for service. Yikes.
Our server didn't talk. He muttered an "are you ready?" when he initially showed up to the table and didn't say anything else. Ever.
He brought the food and check and that was it. Never came back to check on us. Never brought us silverware (kinda crucial since its impossible to eat rice with the provided wooden chopsticks.) Never asked if we wanted to-go boxes, even though we had 3/4 of our food left on our plate.
The worst service I've experienced in a long time and the food isn't good enough to justify

I'm not one for sushi but love the irresistible presentation of the Vegetable Tempura at the Zen House! Also, don't miss the mashed potato patties covered in Panko and flash fried (enjoy with a little spicy mayo). For a perfect ending, try the caramel apple wonton to share at your table.
Why is this place great? Food quality, cleanliness, kind staff that always remembers you and an owner that works hands-on in the establishment. This is the real deal.

I really love this place. It's so convenient; I feel we should dine there more often. The service is top-notch, and the sushi is wonderful. The green tea is fresh -- they make the green tea sachets themselves from tea ordered from Japan. You can taste the difference. I recommend the curry with vegetables ramen and the seasoned squash sushi (truly delectable).
We loved this place when they were located behind the gas station near the mall, but their new location is so much nicer. We'd love to keep them in the neighborhood. Take a drive up Woodland to check this place out! You
