It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.

I am rating with 1 star and that is not accurate! I give them no rating. My grandmothers body was prepared by this funeral home to be sent to N.C. March 2020. I have been trying to get her death certificate which was paid for since then. Today is 11/15/2021 I still do not have it. I have called several times. I am being told I would receive a call back. No one ever calls. Service has been terrible.

I was pretty satisfied with the professionalism and services here. They had COVID-19 protocols good is important now. The behind the scenes staff and limo driver were great. The few cons I have is although the appearance of my loved one was very good, I said for his face to be clean shaven when I was asked during the initial meeting with the director. Instead they gave him a goatee which my dad has never worn. I wanted my dad to look as close to his natural look as possible. Why ask if theyāre going to do what they want. I did not appreciate that. Since they charge a percentage to use life insurance

Im being generous with 1 star. This was a truly unprofessional place and they took no accountability for their actions. It was error after error on their part. My family and I already were blindsided by my husbands death, but they made it even more stressful all the way til the end when the death certificate took 3 weeks & they made an error with that.

Worth all 5 stars! I truly appreciate the care and support from ALL the staff at Joseph H Brown Funeral Home. From the first day of arrangements until the last day of service our family received compassion and support. Minor changes were accommodated without hesitation and even when there were concerns the support we received to get through everything was there. From my family to yours, thank you JHB for your professionalism, for caring for my mom, and being there for my entire family. Your services will forever be appreciated!

I'm being courteous giving 2 stars. I called the earliest appointment to make arrangements for my loved one was 3 days š®. During the first phone call the person was extremely curt. I asked a question referring to accepting DSS vouchers. The guy said they no longer accepted them. I asked why not? and their response (exact words) " ....because this is our business and we have that right. It was the tone if his voice I found to be unprofessional. He stated the state at times don't pay when due.š®.

Donāt go here! They keep hindering my mother from receiving important documents for my deceased father. They have been giving us a run around for a year. Hanging up on us, transferring to deadlines, saying they will call us back for over a month and no one calls back, we call them only. Said they have to āfind a fileā as their excuse, they have been saying that for a month...how come your filing system is so out of wack u canāt find it? Building falling apart during service too.
Update* still hasn't called back and it's been a month yet again.

Itās sadden to say that this place could have so much potential but however it doesnāt.The staff have no communication or empathy for the families they serve itās all about the money. I will say they have some of the best people working in the background such as the drivers embalmers and first call receptionist and funeral informers. This funeral home is hazardous to families because there are no care for COVID-19 regulations all rules are broken based off who knows who.People who really love there loved ones should invest in going else where because this place is built off false hope and

I have been here for several funerals and viewings. This week I was here for family member. Was greeted immediately upon entry, and was told where to go. The rooms are well lit and comfortable. Plenty of seating inside the viewing room and outside in the hall. The funeral director was able to assist me in finding my floral arrangement, which made me feel at ease.

Going to a funeral home is never really a pleasant experience. I came here for the viewing of one of my cousins. The parking lot was pretty crowded when I arrived around 5pm. Several viewings were going on this day so it was pretty crowded inside and out. As I walked in I was greeted by a worker. I asked for the location of my cousin and was directed to the room. The room was a nice comfortable size to hold the many people who came to view my cousin. I think they did a good job. My cousin actually looked just like himself. I have seen other funeral homes present the remains of a deceased and it

I must say at a time of bereavement, this funeral home simply dropped the ball on several items that my grieving family can not accept! First and foremost their miscommunications with the family is unforgivable! I had to actually call several times to ask what was going on with the cremation progress of my brother. They were not consistent with their stories and I had to call them today to ask if he was ready to be picked up. They kept my niece waiting for more than 15 minutes today before she was given the cremains! I called them on Sat to ask when he would be cremated only to be told that it

This is the worst place ever. I asked for security the day before my son's funeral spoke with the owner Charlene, you would think that she would take things serious when you tell them you need security only to get there the day of the funeral and find out you have to pay for it. they are not professional, I have called there for 3 days in a row and still have not received my son's death certificates. My service was interrupted by drama that they should have controlled since it was in their facility. I feel like Brown's dropped the ball, they lost my son's pictures that were

My mother passed away in Baltimore and I live in California. It was an extremely difficult time for me and I had to arrange a lot of things long distance until I got into town. They were great at communicating and just being there for me (answering all questions and helping me make decisions). The place was very nice and my mother looked so peaceful when I saw her for the last time. I was able to get her two days later for her funeral. Wonderful funeral home and staff like Deidra Williams who make this horrible time much easier to go through.

Terrible service at a time when extra care an sensitivity is needed. They took 2 weeks longer than expected to return my father-in-law's remains. Communication was poor, they never called to advise of the delay or returned phone calls. They dropped the ball and failed to deliver on services they said they'd provide.
