I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I had been coming here and told this doctor for like a year I had severe hypertension and didn’t know why. He assumed bc I was fat. He suggested keto. Kept increasing my dosage Of beta blockers and thyroid medicine . Well I guess at some point o became VERY hyperactive thyroid from over medication, I have NO thyroid so that should have never happened. But he kept prescribing me 200 mcg of levothyroxine. Anyways I was having a fast heart rate , severe hypertension, hair falling out. I ended up going to a different clinic. They found out I was so incredibly

I was under their care for almost 2 years. I decided to get my testosterone replacement therapy from another provider. Immediately there were problems dealing with the front office staff. When I told them I was going to someone else for the testosterone I said I would still like to keep you as my primary care physician. After speaking with them several times it was obvious they were not interested in my business because I stopped taking the testosterone. In the two years that I went there I was constantly arguing with the staff about the time of my appointment. They would never inform me of a change

I made an appointment for my diabetic husband. Symptoms: coughing and vomiting. When I called they were awesome, relatable and genuinely caring! Yes, they did HAVE to do a Covid test, because of the symptoms, before he could be seen, but it took 15 minutes and was a simple finger poke (no cotton swab up the nose). The staff treated him like family, the doctor even gave him a fist bump! We don't have insurance and the visit was less than $100! Needless to say, we found our new primary care!!! I highly recommend them! They truly care for their patients instead of treating them like a number!!!

I had a friend who visited this clinic due to a skin condition. She had been hoping to get more insight on why she was experiencing excruciating pain in her crouch areas. Dr. Macias prescribed antibiotics which made her sick (this is not the issue here) and after she came in person he suggested they take a culture. After completing the culture she was told that there was no infection present. How does a condition primarily caused by bacteria yield a no infection present on a culture? Furthermore I feel that this was sheer misinformation and a waste of her time and money. People count on healthcare

Dr. Macias is the best doctor that I have ever had in my life. He simply saved my life and is so easy to work with. He’s so meticulous, knows what he’s doing , approachable, trustworthy, great personality and most all has integrity and legit concern for his patients. I love him and I thank God that I met him. Since moving to San Antonio I’ve met cold, straight to the point doctors that make you wait Hours and then rush you out. I’ve also gotten turned down because I had not met my deductible and couldn’t pay the full amount, I wasn’t allowed to split it and pay the other half just the next day when I go payed. I was bawling and couldn’t get help that day. Why was I even going through this? I wondered. Why wasn’t anybody helping. So I went back to my car, and searched for good affordable doctors on the web. I have visited this clinic recently. Doctor ordered some test and wanted to refer me to another doctor. I got my test result from another institution and they send the result to macias clinic. At the beginning they said that i have to schedule another visit and pay $50 and another $25 for missed appointment. After explanations they said $25 would be enough to get my lab result. You can judge how their system work on your own. But there is good chance that you'll have hard time like me.
