These guys are literally the reason I function! I've seen them both for personal training and physical therapy after major surgery. I've seen many PTs in my life but none who knew what they were doing half as well! They zeroed in on my exact issues and catered a plan exactly to what I needed, rather than giving me a cookie cutter one size fits all regimen.

After graduating from Northeastern University in 2016, Adam has gained experience in numerous settings, treating and training clients and patients of all levels and backgrounds. Adam aims to foster confidence in exercise and movement, and to guide clients and patients to achieve their fitness, rehab, performance, and personal goals through a well-rounded lifestyle approach, with transparency and long-term solutions at the forefront.
We treat on a hybrid PT/personal training model. Our goal is to enable you to do what is important to you ASAP. The quickest way to get you there is to provide you with the tools for success and an effective dose of intensity. As soon as appropriate, the pace of restoration and fitness will have you sweating in PT.
Physical therapists are known for their expertise in motion. The personal trainer has a stronghold in creating changes in body composition, strength, speed, and cardiovascular health. Well, we have to move exceptionally to lose/gain weight without setbacks. A hybrid PT/personal trainer focuses on pushing your progress during the session AND assures you wake up restored the next day.

I have been to several physical therapists throughout my adult life. When I started working with Adam here it was like I stepped into the GOAT of PT facilities. I do things daily now that I was told, on more than one occasion by more than one physical therapist that took me on, I would never do again. Choosing to go to Sustained Fitness was one of the best decisions I made since moving to Boston. At Sustained Fitness I was able to complete workouts that I could have never created on my own. After explaining to Adam my goals, he not only created a plan for me, but also taught me how to do everything on my own. Adam's knowledge and ability to make my workouts so personalized completely changed my view on exercise. I feel stronger and more confident after working with Sustained Fitness!

Three years ago at age 61, I had my left shoulder replaced. During my recuperation and year-long physical therapy, I recognized that I needed to work with a personal trainer if I was to regain my former fitness. I put a post on the app Thumbtack, and three trainers, one of whom was Ryan Billich at Sustained Fitness, responded. Ryan had just completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University, and in our initial interview, he displayed a professionalism, knowledge, and interpersonal skills that made him stand out from the others. At age 72 my goal is to maintain a level of fitness that enables an active, healthy, injury-free life. What I noticed about Ryan and Adam is that they take a very individualized approach to each client. Their background as physical therapists adds a depth of knowledge that is very reassuring.
For three years now Adam has designed workouts that take account of my chronic back pain while increasing my overall strength and fitness. So I'm in Boston visiting for a few weeks and having no where to workout. I stumbled on this place and very glad I did!!! Usually have a routine I'm comfortable with and am in shape. However, Ryan made sure to take me out of my comfortable zone and made sure I had a challenging but great workout according to my fitness level and taught me some great routines! I feel very fortunate to find this place and his introduction.

I started working with Adam Babcock for personal training at Sustained Fitness going on 3 years ago.  The environment is friendly, professional and health focused, and I've both enjoyed and benefited from working with Adam.  We set strength goals together and then work towards achieving them, and I find myself in my 30's the strongest I have been.  Along the way Adam's PT background has helped me work to be injury free.  Recently, Adam has modified both my workouts and the format--coordinating virtual Covid-safe appointments tailored towards my status as an expectant mom!  Like all my workouts

Adam and Ryan are excellent trainers. They make you want to come back and achieve your goals. Sessions are highly tailored, not just to the client but to what is going on at a point in time (jetlag, soreness, etc...).
